  4. my dad bought a stihl on-line last year from some company in northern ireland. my local dealer(and me) didn,t really want him to get another because he,s 87(but very active). he just asked a friend to place the order and had his shiny new stihl next day.

  8. does anyone run a county and highland bear crane or remember what order the controls are in. i ran one for years back in the 90,s . i,ve recently set up a crane on my renault and would like to change the functions to the some order. even though it has been over 20 years since i worked the highland bear, my hands seem to be working against my brain with the new crane. ideally, i would like to fit 2lever controls but i,ve enough money spent for the time being.. thanks; sean
  9. just fitted one to my renault .italian make i had never seen before,dallabona. was used to load rootball trees in a large nursery. 7.5m reach, own tank and pto pump.like new. got it for 3k euro.have to fit my own grab and rotator though but pretty happy with it. anyone have any experience of these cranes?

    Arb radios

    we have a pair, they work fine. havent used them as often as i thought we would. ear muff a bit uncomfortable with speaker in (but could probably be set better) .my climbers dont like the wires and extra stuff to get snagged so they prefer to just use whistles and shout like they always have. had to use last week ,3 rockbreakers working nearby.

    if you are in london worth going to fr jones i,d say. i tried cathcarts once but they were a lot more expensive than brian o connor (great for parts though) the prices you mention sound like full list,are you sure you are haggeling hard enough? garrys in oughterard have a 550 in stock ,i have found them good to deal with and they have the software for the tuning .i usually buy from o connors though ,hope they get set up before i have to replace my 346
  16. my hitachi has a panel behind seat. hard to see until seat out

  18. dont see them selling crap out of vans over here anymore. probably too busy robbing copper. it was mostly an excuse to case peoples yards/sheds, the robberies usually followed 2 to 4 weeks later.
  19. used nolan transport wexford to bring back chipper from arborcut last year, found them good. what part of irl. ?
  20. i.ve got a 10inch jensen with crane feed hopper,05 machine very little work done.
