  2. i got one from conners last year for a 346 cause they had no 15 inch and i was stuck. nice slim pro-lite, saw was rapid with it. they had got a bunch of them in for the fisheries. never know might still have one.
  3. worth every penny. would not be without again.
  4. would be the same as ireland or any eu country i would assume. 0 vat to pay if registered
  5. once bodged one out of coffee cup lid and tape:thumbup:
  6. this happened mine once and turned out to be dirt in fuel tank. engine was acheiving full revs under no load but dying back only slightly too much when feeding wood. may not be your problem but worth eliminating first. also check drive belts are tight enough
  7. that sound like a good spot, once fitted one to the mudguard of mine, was ok until i whacked my knee on it. was reluctant to fit higher , didnt want filings all over machine. did you fit anything to collect the filings? come to think of it a couple of well placed magnets might work
  8. usually charge normal rates but did small job last year for free, just skipped annual collection so payment in kind i suppose.
  9. mine works fine wet but i would expect dirty ropes will shorten lifespan
  10. had simular dose the last few xmas,s .seems to hit when i ease off after a busy year. i find a good roasting in a sauna helps.
  11. i climb in stein rain trousers and find them good, stein jacket good also but havent tried clarks
  12. ive had a mini digger for 7 years, once youve owned one you will never want to go back. they hold their value very well so worth using finance(if necessary) to get a fresh one
  13. thanks folks and well done on raffle:001_smile::thumbup:
  14. i assume new filters as well. has happened my tw a few times (water in tank), but more than a year between times

  19. kelsa head on 8tonne sounds most useful to me. i used to run a tapio on a 14 ton excavator. mostly processing from a skyline and from sawmen felling on slopes. we also cut some very wet sites by felling from both sides. when we gave up skyline work, it worked really well cutting forestry roads and laying down the poles to build the road on.(some very wet deep sites). best machine ever to collect and load brash bushes etc. good at feeding chipper. we also used it on bog restoration projects, feeding small trees to chipper and windrowing sites with larger trees. also cleared large areas of gorse for a surveying company(pulled with knives). a stroke head will never be viable in mainstream timber harvesting but on niche jobs like you do and with a couple of steady sawmen could be a super addition. hope this is of some help ,i always enjoy your threads.
  20. wouldnt part with either.266 was the main pro saw in the woods here when i was starting out (1987)would love to try one again. 440 best saw i ever had.still have most of it in shed
