  1. have alot of trees (mostly small) to drag back from streams in areas where machines cant reach. do i need any special ticket to operate a chainsaw winch ? large utility job, need method statement for everything
  2. phone message ; i need you to come and cut half a tree for my neighbour who,s husband was stabbed on a ship
  3. dont forget, alot more tiring on body than tree work, seme few muscles doing repeditive work all day

    9/11

i was in shannon airport with wife and her family waiting to board flight to boston for her brothers wedding. sitting in departure lounge heard rumour about plane been hi-jacked. next thing tv shows plane hitting tower,a little later second one. horrible time, lots of americans crying and most people just stunned. wifes family never made it to wedding
  5. it says 9 to 6 each day on website. does anyone remember the saturdays of the last couple of years?
  6. was wondering is it worth going for just saturday ? i once went on a saturday( about 2002 i think,in scotland, and a lot of the stands were packing to leave from lunchtime on. was planning to go on friday and saturday myself but cant go on friday now and wondering if its worth the journey . sorry if derail

    Sugihara bars

sorry for derail (no pun intended)will you be selling at apf
  8. :thumbup1 good point. sitting waiting for rain to stop is just a recipe for doom and gloom. better to get stuck in first thing and finish earlier on wet days. a change of clothes at midday helps a lot, and a change before driving home is a must.
  9. today was our 1st day without rain in 3weeks. would be out of business if we had to wait for dry weather over here. yes, but it does bother me when it,s every day. funny thing is, after 2 fine days we forget all the crap weather and where our rain gear is left.
  10. have had non turbo one 4 and a half years from new.have changed flywheel bearings 3 times over 1570 hours 150euro pressed on 3 - 4 hours work. (once was because of new groundie packing cordaline into it)no other probs, works fine every day.a lot better built than tw150.
  11. 6 inch, maybe up to 8 inch with antistress. what model tractor?
  12. have had tw 190 over 4 years from new. over 1500 hours ,3sets of bearings @ e150 fitted.no other breakdown of any kind and good to go for a few more years. had 150 before, was a toy in comparison. 20k(euro)new chipper worked out cheaper than 6k one when you account for downtime and repairs.
  13. rip them out ,dance on them, fit led,s new plug new lead new box ,no more probs. oh and dance on them again.
  14. you would need 360 ticket but well worth getting for all the labour you will save. i wouldnt bother with rotator either on a 1.5 ton, risk of hitting cab with long sticks/branches + you lose lift height
  15. have been looking into these lately. m large are doing ones up to 7metres.
  16. you can shorten the single leg if you need to. i use the 4.8 metre one, it,s very stable. quite wide at the base(6feet approx) sometimes a bit awkward to manouver around shrubs etc. 3.7 metre version probably handier if you can do without the extra height
  17. we,re all using the trupulse over here on utility work . esb tried every type and found it most suitable for height measurement anyway. got them from company called positioning resources
  18. welcome from joyce country galway
  19. 803euro? should be around 650, i paid 625 for mine(pre vat increace 21 to 23%and brian did say it was 2011 price).somebody said they got one for 600 from mchale agristore castlebar. you may find you can sometimes get really good deals on new models over here if they are slow to take off. the time the 575 came out we bought some a good bit cheaper than 372. garrys husqvarna barna also worth a try.they are really trying to push husky and ive found their back-up really good
  20. hello kay 9, welcome to the forum. nice to have another galwayman on here. i am on my 4th 346xp ,never had any problems with either. i bought 2 in january from o connors of cong , worked out only 20 euro per saw more than best uk prices (postage and weak euro soon eats into diffefence). no disrespect to site sponsors but i like to support local businesses where possible
