  1. rip them out ,dance on them, fit led,s new plug new lead new box ,no more probs. oh and dance on them again.
  2. does it work ok on arms?
  3. you would need 360 ticket but well worth getting for all the labour you will save. i wouldnt bother with rotator either on a 1.5 ton, risk of hitting cab with long sticks/branches + you lose lift height
  4. have been looking into these lately. m large are doing ones up to 7metres.
  5. you can shorten the single leg if you need to. i use the 4.8 metre one, it,s very stable. quite wide at the base(6feet approx) sometimes a bit awkward to manouver around shrubs etc. 3.7 metre version probably handier if you can do without the extra height
  6. we,re all using the trupulse over here on utility work . esb tried every type and found it most suitable for height measurement anyway. got them from company called positioning resources
  7. : t my thoughts exactly.
  8. welcome from joyce country galway
  9. 803euro? should be around 650, i paid 625 for mine(pre vat increace 21 to 23%and brian did say it was 2011 price).somebody said they got one for 600 from mchale agristore castlebar. you may find you can sometimes get really good deals on new models over here if they are slow to take off. the time the 575 came out we bought some a good bit cheaper than 372. garrys husqvarna barna also worth a try.they are really trying to push husky and ive found their back-up really good
  10. hello kay 9, welcome to the forum. nice to have another galwayman on here. i am on my 4th 346xp ,never had any problems with either. i bought 2 in january from o connors of cong , worked out only 20 euro per saw more than best uk prices (postage and weak euro soon eats into diffefence). no disrespect to site sponsors but i like to support local businesses where possible
  11. husky 61. was 400pounds in 1987. expensive compared to wages at the time, todays saws cheap by comparison
  12. have you tried greenmech. i think some of their pedestrian grinders were laski

  14. yes.i think my gut feeling is that it probably is a scam.
  15. thanks alec. i have a second account with no od facility on it and rarely any money in it, was going to give that number. i know theres a buoyant market for tractors in that part of the world but i would not have thought woodchippers. a friend of mine who deals in tractors thinks it may be genuine, im wary of building my hopes up though
  16. advertised pto chipper on earborist. only enquiry was ( or claims to be) from a company in dubai. after a few emails he has requested an invoice and account number for money transfer.he also wants to buy my tractor (without seeing photos) seems a bit too simple to me. anyone else have similar? is it risky even opening these emails. thanks
  17. that sounds good. i paid around e850 2 years ago, i think the cheaper ones i priced didnt have the correct crank for my grinder
  18. i usually shorten in the top few rows of branches (often with a hand pruner) it gives a nice edge and the top outer branches dont curl up after just a few months. i can do this really quickly and in comfort from the mewp
  19. mewp for upper sides and as much of top as can be done comfortably, especially where hedge has been previously topped. climb centre if awkward to get at with mewp. gets nicer finish on hedge imo. i find using polesaw from harness quite severe on body. it takes practice to get the best out of a mewp (not wishing to get into mewp v climber btw)
  20. prize arrived on friday (mini-mill from rob d) thank you rob for prize and steve for organising raffle. looking forward to first attempt at milling, have a few lumps of monterey to experemint on
