5. 48. climb 3 or 4 days a week. started climbing at 30. 10 years on chainsaw before that. hard to do 5 full days in a row but no problem keeping up with younger lads. i think you need all ground tickets and loads of saw time before getting into climbing.
6. firewood or favours here, never money
7. good luck with tractor, tim. fantastic tool. we are getting used to our one (tom d,s old one)really pays its way on take-downs and surprising where you can bring it with a few mats and a bit of planning
8. some hefty logs on trailer, what crane is that?
9. sorry, thought you meant muck spreader wheels were under chipper .interesting unit
10. so is chipper semi-mounted as in pulled by lift arms, or is it trailed? looking forward to pics
11. hi adam,i think i read on here that those bearings are non standard for some reason, might be worth searching for an old thread on this. i will get number off spare belt tomorrow

hi, i just read a post of yours re. no-stress boxes. a friend of mine (also west ireland) has been trying to find a box for his 6inch bearcat chipper.

can you scource or repair?

14. hi. when i feed branches into my 328 they slide to the right every time (towards the inside of blade) and the anti-stress is kicking in all the time even on 2 inch stuff. blades are sharp and springs seem to be tensioned evenly. i always thought the feed system was designed to send the timber more towards the outside of the blade where it travels faster. any suggestions? thanks
15. well done for posting, hope you heal fast
16. thanks, large roof rack ,ladder etc on mine not helping.transit much improved also
17. i tried dipethane after reading an other thread, hi-lux went from 350 to 400 miles per tank.1litre costs 10euro and does 4 tankfulls, economy seems to last when i miss a few tankfulls
18. also saves mix-ups on jobs when you are not there and clients adding bits on to agreed job
19. mine had lucas key as i remember
20. good idea to combine quote sheet and job card, i,ve been doing both seperately and noting major hazards and costumer quirks etc on job sheet. i would be reluctant to combine risk assessment in case it would tempt crew not to assess site for themselves when doing their site safety plan on the day
21. nice job on bolsters tom, just curious , whats the rope and snap hooks for?
