  1. Because he said was offered £45,000 and places are like Rocking Horse Poo so logic means too little as sites rare. Should be worth at least several times more than original price offered and with an "Uplift/Clawback" clause in case he goes for planning permission with new homes.
  2. Tow Bars, Used and New Trailers, Towbar Fittings at Indespension
  3. Be careful when offered work abroad! BBC News - British men forced into 'modern slavery' abroad
  4. Those IWT have so many weak areas I would not leave expensive tools inside overnight unless also locked to the chassis and alarmed. These were designed to hold sheep and small bales inside not keep thieves out. The best method I was told was to take a long look at personal and business property as if going to steal from it to find the weak places. Like entrance gates make sure the gate rests on the bottom hinge pin which faces upwards and the top pin faces down to prevent lifting off. Surprised how many gates I see simple to lift off.
  5. Eastern europe is having some decent amounts of snow. News said -42C in Russia. Wind here is changing to the east so here's hoping on some snow.
  6. I dislike planning people as often dishonest actions and harass small business. I would tell the council he has offered to purchase at a low price and when this did not work complained to close down the business. UN/ISO Shipping Containers are portable in law and do not need planning permission unlike old truck bodies/boxes. Tape record/video future conversations without them knowing as it will help!!
  7. The firm also makes organic Birch beers. I like the idea of the waterheater unit but wood powered systems should be that "use all types of wood based products not one" The price made the wallet go into shock! Be interested to know if produced in the UK at a small firm and not imported like most is these times from China.
  8. In our case the Norwegian Government stole land we purchased and is at present going to court without us to make us homeless. Double Standards. Mugabe is a terrible person. Hope it works out for your friend and that woman called.
  9. Reflective then works even at night.
  10. At the current rate of sea fish consumption in the UK certain species will be all gone in 2030. I noticed in this area often old veteran trees falling down and none growing in the hedgerows to replace them so a much different landscape for future children.
  11. Hope this is in the correct posting on the forum. I have been informed there is an event sponsored with help from the CLA and NFU called "Energy Now Expo 2012". It's the 15-16th February at the Malvern Showground Worcestershire. 100+ suppliers of wind/solar/biomass/biogas/biofuels/hydro/ground source heating....... Exhibition entrance is £5 on the day or free if registered before. http://www.energynow-expo.co.uk [email protected] 01293 854405 Might still be spaces for some business on here?
  12. There is also Naqoyqatsi. Original meaning is "life out of balance" Shows nature and humans continued destruction of the world. Koyaanisqatsi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PirH8PADDgQ]Koyaanisqatsi (trailer) - YouTube[/ame]
  13. I will find some pictures of the 1968 2A we had and post. Simple and basic vehicle.
  14. Welcome to the UK and Europe's largest vehicle auction company
  15. Because the public often have had no idea on trees and how to maintain them. One of the least understood occupations is tree work unlike traffic wardens!
  16. The Forst Germans often have skull and crossbones and the wording "danger of death".
  17. Keep life simple. Good reliable saws. Hire in large machines instead of purchase. Make sure people have paid in full at the end of the contract. Check to see which councils/large firms are not worth wasting time on and mess around with payments. Build up a good log customers base. Leave worksites clean and damage free. See if people will give references as useful a long time down the road. Don't be run around for prices. Have some free time to escape work and hobbies.
  18. Lots of fresh pressed apple juice to avoid gallstones which are often caused from stress in people with good diets and not overweight.
  19. Have you watched "Koyaanisqatsi"?
  20. Terrible news again. So where and who is purchasing stolen saws. Time to approach Husqvarna and Stihl on product marking on main sections. If you can postcode a bicycle then why not chainsaws?
  21. Some interesting thoughts. Need some snow now. Here is the website we use and it's the Norwegian place. Weather forecast for Ystesund, Fyresdal (Telemark) ? yr.no
  22. Is there somewhere one can learn rope making?
  23. All the saws 242XPGCAT 346XPG 395XPG we have are with heated handles. I remember the sales place said never sold these before and when it's raining the council lads are in the vans. The new Husqvarna brushcutters also have them on certain models so saving hard as the old 240R has done good service.
  24. That's interesting please keep posted on this. Hydrogen powered with Lazer cutting could be the future? No chain sharpening!!
  25. Wait until the booze truck passes then!
