  1. I am going to have at least one of those Zero Barrows!!
  2. This is the one I found:- HEI Solarlight No need to store power as self contained and collects light 360. There is an option of batteries for use in heavy tree areas.
  3. Southern Forestry Products, Inc. :: Cutting Bars Home Page These are the two firms.
  4. Trees are doing well this season as so mild. Good planting weather.
  5. With the high cost of mains installation (and risk of cable thefts) has anyone on the forum used/considered smalll pole mounted scale solar/wind powered lighting on work bases? I found an interesting magazine with options and know the FC now have them in Sherwood carparks.
  6. Still looking and need some with all this tree debris on the ground in the dirt.
  7. Can we post pictures of ones owned before but now sold?
  8. Sunshine with severe gales. Feels like tree damage weather!
  9. There was a firm in Sweden that produced a tyre valve deflator and we still have them. No idea if these are still produced but simple to use and work. Not fun if one forgets to remove!!
  10. How many big bags to load at one time and are these all going to the same place? How would you unload at the customers? I have used the pole tripod method with a chain block as can also load charcoal in bulk when one backs the trailers underneath.
  11. I often noticed that hard earned paperwork is not suitable in OZ and people in all lines of work have to go down a scale and retrain. Not sure the reasons?
  12. Nice vehicle the U20. Needs a crane now to complete.
  13. Tai Chi is worth looking at. I have never had the chance to do Yoga.
  14. What's the difference and how do these all work?
  15. All these terrible thefts have a single common fact. Vehicles are used to remove the stolen items so if the vehicles tyres could all be popped then cannot drive off. There are some of these spikes at fuel stations now to avoid drive off's so should also be on tree work sites.
  16. There are special socks that go inside ISO's to soak up moisture and it should have some vents on each side. You mentioned leaking and that will be the main problem to resolve. Is the 30' in shade?
  17. Have a look at this one! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mq-e6O0N7-w&feature=related]Baumfällen, so aber nicht! - YouTube[/ame] Accident looking for somewhere to happen.
  18. Contact Redrock Machinery Service Manuals are available.
  19. I changed a long time ago from the normal hearing protection to those used around aircraft so much more protection.
  20. There is a TV series called "Wanted down Under" which is all about moving to OZ and NZ. I think there is also a revisited to see what happened to those in the previous series.
  21. That's a close call considering the amount of public access.
  22. Much will depend on the reasons to leave the UK. We have been over there and found people helpful and like a good laugh. Weather can be extreme but can be here also. Victoria area is nice and does have snow. Ran out of time but wanted to go to Tazmania. Do have a stop over in somewhere like Singapore/Malaysia as its a long flight when one has long legs and crushed in worse than cattle in the horrible seats.
  23. We used to do all firewood including deal elms with axes and those wedges from Husqvarna. Splitting wedge - Forest tools In a woodland we used a fresh tree stump as the shock wave works better than onto a movable ring on soil which acts as a cushion. Then the wood supplies/trees became full of knots and twisted grains so stressed and that make one tired so purchased a Hi-Crack screw thread machine and would not go back. It's simple, fast and effective.
  24. I apologize if it was considered personal which was not intended at all unlike the response and I was careful not to mention where I had seen the wording. (I also produce charcoal from local wood sources and had to have the wording checked on the label. Trading standards had also weighed all the sacks at shop outlets without us knowing and approved which was ) We are aware there are some of the strictest laws around regarding trees on the IOM and the sensible reasons for this. There is a link on the website if needed. With due respect I see you have cancelled the order and hope someone on the forum could help with a direct deal for supplies from the mainland. I have some shipping contacts based in Liverpool and can send a PM if needed.
  25. Because in the sick minds horses belong to rich people. (some inlaws are involved with treating oddballs in prisons) The mind boggles how some can do this at all.
