  1. 😂
  2. Following with interest as I’ve got similar coming up. Is it better to inform them then? First time I’ve dealt with work in a ca and I’ve got three to sort out this year
  3. Hi not really a question, but 5k plus the vat? They’re only 5394.00 including the vat new from Arbrep services so you’ll probably need to be below that inclusive to get a sale. Cracking machine though that will earn its money back in no time 👍
  4. Just to say thanks @Mark Bolam - job done and mate is very happy 👍
  5. Got quieter if anything - got some hedge trimming to price to try and fill august. Got a week booked in for each of September/October and November. Regulars coming back but new enquiries down by at least 50%
  6. Whatever course of action you take, get a camera installed to keep a check on him 👍
  7. Definitely need pictures - if the lean is not too severe it’s possible but really need to see it
  8. They’re just trying to get traffic to their badly written websites - Steve has already asked them to stop in another thread
  9. They’re just trying to get clicks to their badly written websites
  10. Got two damson trees, one very sparse crop and the other is heavily laden. Got everything ready for jam making in a week or so time when they’re ripe. Figs were lovely, only half what I got last year though so just eating them rather than making chutney. Red currants were excellent, Victoria plums all have a maggot inside so got to try and sort that next year. Plenty of Bramleys coming on and a few eaters too. Morello cherries were the sweetest we’ve ever had - normally sharp but this year could eat them straight off the tree 👍
  11. Have a read of the wee chipper thread on here - wealth of information there. this looks like a generic Chinese chipper
  12. Nicely done! Can’t remember the last time I saw one - must be many years ago
  13. I tried them but they seem to be more north based - I’m in Essex so way out of their area ☹️
  14. But if it’s Budweiser or Fosters - I’ll have a tap water instead! Cannot stomach either of those two p… tasting “beers”
  15. Thanks Mark - will pass the number over 👍
  16. Bump - anyone?
  17. Depending on the size of the stumps it may take several in each one. Normally do 2-4 inch spacing
  18. Absolutely wouldn’t work on them in the summer. Did it once and was coughing so violently from the dust I almost threw up ☹️ only had to clear a bit for the sky dish - went back in the winter to reduce the rest and it was fine. can’t comment on the paye question though
  19. Good mate of mine, ex forces needs a sycamore removed and stump Eco plugged. By the pic he’s sent me looks about 30-35ft, very easy access as in a private car parking area so can pitch up right next to it. Mainly cut and chuck with possibly a bit of light rigging over a fence. I’d reckon max a mornings work for two with clear up. Anyone recommend someone good that will charge a fair price please? Bit far for me as I’m the other side of the water so dartford tolls etc
  20. Jeesus- sounds awful Steve. Hope you heal quickly 👍
  21. Be a shame when Steve goes, can’t listen to Sara Cox - just annoys the hell out of me. Yet when she’s on tv she’s actually quite good. Zoe ball is ok, not too fussed either way
  22. Might get a few quid for those on eBay to put towards your projects 😏
  23. Plastic parts on mountfield break and spares often not available. Most mowers in that budget have already had a hard life though if careful you can find some hidden gems. No experience of new budget mowers, but I picked up a lovely Toro (can’t remember the number) at the end of season sale at b&q for a shade over 400. Around 580.00 everywhere else. Cracking machine so far after 4 months regular use on 9 lawns I do. other than that I run a couple of older hayters and a danarm which is a really good strong Honda engined machine
  24. Far too big for where they’ve planted it is the answer! Biggest I’ve taken down was 30” x 20” at the stump
