  1. Ok my lanyard steel hoop is black as opposed to Max Naggle's Silver one. I have had a good poke around and whilst reading Colletti and Patimc's posts and my 2015 build saw looks to be fully up to spec. and safe to use. As mentioned by someone previously you can see a metal plate that helps keep the hoop in situ. along with the upper and lower plastic prongs. Anyone else spotted the summer/winter slide next to the spark plug yet ? I'm staring lovingly as the spark arrestor and wonder will it affect the warranty if i remove it ? This saw is too noice fer tree work so i'm gonna hang it off me pickup trucks keyring and belt clip it to me jeans....
  2. ordered mine yesserday morning, scanned me CS39 and emailed it off and the saw turned up 10 mins ago. It has 2015 on the chainbrake sticker so i'd better ensure the lanyard hoop/ring is modified and aok.

  7. just read this and from the beginning of the thread i was in agreement with Chris and the 2 GRCS's. I love stuff like this as it can be so calculated but so sketchy at the same time. Excellent work Chris. I hope 'you charged accordingly'! I need to save up and buy a GRCS.

  11. Carlos, R mac has hit de nail on de head. My 360 has done alot of work and i really like it. I would say go fer 1 with a 12'' bar though as the 14'' makes it feel a bit unwieldy. Motosega da Potatura ECHO CS 360 TES Professionale 35,8 cc - 2 Hp | eBay

  19. Had this 2 weeks aho in Taunton, we had all the usual cones/signage out in a public park, we had the truck/chipper parked on a wide footpath/cycleway and cyclists still managed to squeeze by the truck along the canal bank. How 1 chap didn't go in the water oil never know. In the end i physically blocked/stopped several re-offenders and explained to them that 'i do appreciate it's incredibly difficult to read the signs, see the cones, see the men in Hi Viz and all the big machinery blasting out dry/dusty woodchip and if they would mind simply riding around the work site it would really help me out' a few stared at me as if i was from Pluto or some udder far off land loike Devon maybe. No common sense atall atall.
  20. Tink the Bahco is easier to use over a Silky blade due to it being lighter in weight. This is the 1 i like to use. Rivets do loosen off after a while though so a good whack with a hammer tightens tings up again nicely. | BAHCO
  21. very nice indeed. please keep us informed with an update and pics. Wonder what the crane will lift? and what will the vehicle kerbside weight is when completed ? also wonder what it can legally tow ?
  22. 18hp Greenmech CS100, Ifor williams plant trailer or bigger if need be to haul the chipper around. If ya wanna use it behind a tractor simply modify a link box and put the CS100 in there and secure it with ratchet straps. I use a wee Greenmech sat on the rear of an Ifor 10'x5'6'' trailer and tow it with a 4x4 pickup, or carry the chipper in the rear of the pickup. Several options there.
  23. richy_B, Mick Dempsey & Ty Korrigan have nailed it with their comments. I run a wee Greenmech and a larger 8 inch machine. On thurs & fri of this week my Groundie and I did a long mixed species boundary hedge with poor access and a very very long drag out to the front of the property. When pricing this job the customer said they wanted the cord wood but no chip left in the garden, I priced for 4 men, large chipper and transit, the Gentleman nearly fainted at the cost! I then offered he the option of 2 men (me and my groundie), and the wee Greenmech. This could be manhandled thru the narrow access and all the way up the long garden and the deal would be he still kept all the cord and we would blow the chip into the base of the hedgeline. The time frame of 2 days was identical for both options, but option 2 was £500 cheaper so everyones a winner baby. I did consider selling this wee Greenmech recently but it has won me quite a bit of work and doesn't take up alot of room in the garage so it's a keeper and i still have the best of both worlds. My advice is your gonna be needing a 6'' roller fed machine, 35HP diesel. It's a no brainer.
