  1. Hello, i get error 404 when i click the links.
  2. even jive bunny is having a read.
  3. i tink thas bootiful.
  4. Remove that spark arrestor ! I got some spare 360 TES exhausts on the bench so i muff modded one by removing the cat and some additional metal work, i haven't fitted it yet though.
  5. An 8 inch Bearcat turntable chipper. I'd start de enjun on the chipper and let her idle as i used the caravan mover to get into position thus saving the 'juice' .
  6. Have never spied a 6X6 Perentie in the UK afore but have seen a few of the 4X4 variants. They also did a 3.9 with a Turbo but again very rare. Love the fact they got a galvanised chassis as standard.
  7. i'm gonna be fitting lectric caravan mover to my fairly heavy road tow chipper soon.
  8. shud be able to pick up a MINT condition 18hp CS100 fer around 3k imho. edit; i have just looked at Kev Brown's video of his modified chute V a standard chute and it's deffo the way to go on a TW. However a CS100 is a much more capable machine.
  9. yep i do this too, allied to a cable lock from the chipper chassis to the trailer frame rail or truck towbar in case me relatives errrr the Irish Caravan Club come by and try to lift the chipper into the back of a transit box van:001_rolleyes:
  10. PeteB, thas what i did wif my GMR100 as the choke kept coming 'on' and it fixed it real good. Regarding the OP; Yer problem sounds to me loike dirty/partially blocked fuel filter (attached to the underside of the fuel tank) and or a contaminated carb. My 14HP briggs had these symptoms recently and i replaced the fuel filter and stripped the carb once removed from the enjun and removed the jets, plopped everyting into the ultrasonic cleaner with some Fairy liquid (udder brands are widely available....) and simmered for 45 mins. While yer waiting make sure the orifaces that are open are blocked off with blue roll ar some lint free rags and take the air line to the now easy to get at block and blow out the dust, twigs etc, really go to town on it. Also check all the enjun mounting/belt tension bolts. Loike yew i find getting an accurate oil level measurement a bit hit and miss but keep plugging away with it till yew're 100% certain the level is correct. The above strip down procedure is quite involved and if yer doin it fer the first time i wood advise taking lots of pics and video of the way tings are fitted and the way poipes are routed etc. It will take a good few hours to do but is very satisfying. I also did me best to swirl/wash out any dirt from the fuel tank but this is difficult to do. Once the chipper was partially reassembled i attached a temporary remote fuel tank with a fuel line attached to the fuel pump and the chipper fired up and ran perfectly fer 10 mins or so. I completely reassembled the whole shebang and tested her real good fer 30 mins by shoving a load of brash thru the bugger. SORTED. Boil the kettle, drink tea and eat CAKE.
  11. Wonder what the GVW is! yew cud prolly carry a bucket full of woodchip to stay legal and above board.
  12. your sheet idea is a good one and it will be fine.
  13. does the enjun sound 'normal' and is it revving out like it used to and is the drum rotating freely by hand ? Have you looked at the belts to see if they are split/worn loose or too toight ?
  14. yep smart move as your getting the most out of your kit that way:thumbup1:
  15. I reckon those roller trailers are the mutz nutz but i do think the chipper is better off sat directly behind the trucks tail board so the chip has less distance to travel, the closer it is the less mess you will have to sweep up. For that reason i'd opt fer a small'ish caged trailer to carry the chipper and surplus cordwood etc. A roller trailer is cute but it's good for nuffin else. I'd always remove the chipper from which ever trailer you choose.
  16. wow thats a good deal:thumbup1:
  17. I'm struggling to believe that price ! u sure it wasn't £375 including VAT ?
  18. close to DTS territory.
  19. wonder if that Jonny Quick has had his 'EGR' blanked off.....?
  20. i'm gonna do that too:biggrin:
  21. really noice setup. just look at that clear sunny weather
  22. Mark is that pounds (£££) or KG (weight) ?
  23. there is without more opportunities in the UK than there is in Eire. Might be a good time to consider a move. Where are u living now ?
  24. How's she cuttin' PhilEire, I was in the same boat as yew when i was 38 years of age. Basically i started off funding my own saw tickets and worked for some companies and got more and more experience and learnt to climb. I now run my own small setup and do all the climbing required. I'd seriously consider getting in to Utility Arb if i were you as you'd learn the basics quickly and get to do both MEWP work and climbing. From there you can only go 'onwards and upwards' 'scuse the pun:001_smile:
