  1. can we see some pics of the beast please ?
  2. fairly uninteresting stuff really.
  3. thas along way from SW15 though !
  4. me too but in '68. Gr8 day fer me and Jon me groundie as we got alot of trees on the ground and processed b4 lunch, afterwards we had a tractor and rope tugging over medium sized pines and only snapped the poly rope once ! All ended well till i get home and aversed into me front yard and forgot about the overly high steel mesh sides on me transit and lunched the new guttering.... Oh well it's no the end of the world i suppose
  5. Thought the tow weight was a bit less than 3500kg no ?
  6. Cheers Ashtree, I've put the little black disc somewhere safe fer de moment and i won't bodder refitting it unless the hedge trimmer becomes difficult to start. As is without the disc in situ the machines runs fine. Regards, W.
  7. LOD back before 2001 that was a fairly common Devon reg. I got same yella crew cab transit as you. Ranger of that age is a better bet than a 2007-2012 model.
  8. Cheers Barry, Yes i did completely strip the carb 'whilst i was in there' and cleaned it and carefully blew it out with the airline. Must pop down to see you as me mate needs a carb ferrra Mantis rotavator. Tanks, W:thumbup1:
  9. wow interesting reading as i've only just bought a transit tipper and i have been shovelling chip out of my non tipping pickup chip box and non tipping ifor williams trailer for 18 months now, i rarely leave it in there overnoight but i have left it in the trailer for 2 or tree days on the odd occasion and i have seen the dreaded misty plume of spores wafting around but i have been lucky not to get ill from it. Take heed peoples as my ignorance cud have lead to me being very ill.
  10. Buy a new one, they are not expensive plus you'll be assured it'll not have been messed about with.
  11. Tanks Peatff, That is indeed the answer. I popped back to see the warranty people at Radmore and F errr Tucker on friday afternoon to be told 'they are gone home for the day' so i'd hafta come back anudder time fer crying out loud. I was gonna ask the chap if he still had my original faulty zorst stashed in the drawer as he said that Echo may want it back to investigate the cause. I was hoping he'd let me have it back and i cud get some clever bod to cut it open and remove the rattling cat and tig weld it up, retune and hey presto job done. I looked at a brand new 360TES on display and the zorst/plastic cover clearance on that one is quite large (as was mine originally) compared to mine which is a gnats cock away in terms of 'gap'. So i assume that new saw is running the old style zorst or has a newer more bulbous cover to stop the meltage. I will take mine in to the shop and do a side by side comparison next time i'm in Exeter. Tanks W:001_smile:
  12. Hello, gotta be the Echo really as it's new and the '2 year professional use warranty' or the '5 year domestic warranty' will no doubt suit your needs.
  13. Thank yew Spud. If anyone happens to have a parts schematic/diagram for a Stihl HL75 that would be gr8. Thanks all, Wicklam.
  14. Hello, basically my hedge trimmer stalled abruptly and wouldn't restart unless it had full choke and when the choke was turned off it stalled out again. Anyway on stripping the carb i found this small rubber disc (lower RHS of pic) inside the primer bulb. The circular alloy part with the hole thru it (on LHS of pic) was partially dislodged with a tiny spring beneath it, i pushed the spring and alloy part back in situ and the machine now runs but not as crisp as it did. Now i wonder if that rubber disc is meant to be installed benath the circular alloy bit ? Thanks Ken.
  15. Hello, i'm looking to hire something like a Land Rover Defender MEWP for approx 10 days. It doesn't need a high reach as it'll be used to top a very long mixed species hedge thats only about 25 feet tall at present. Regards, Ken 07946606093
  16. Anyone else had the zorst on their 360TES replaced under warranty due to the cat working loose and rattling around loike a pebble in a baked bean can ?? Reason i ask is ever since i had the 'modified exhaust' fitted my saw feels a bit down on power. The part number for the new exhaust points to the 360WES (the Groundsaw variant) which on spec seems less powerful. Also the newer exhaust practically touches the plastic cover surround and it has melted/burnt away. i did read recently that someones caught fire as a result!
  17. i never bother with the puny Ifor hitch lock, i always buy a Bulldog hitch lock and wheel clamp.
  18. I tink the only 'trailer' this guy will ever see will be a movie trailer!
  19. indeed it did Stubby. I have an old but mint 365 special, it's got a muff mod and a 75cc kit fitted. An eggsellent saw.
  20. yep i really loike dem super cabs with the suicide doors. Reckon the newest model Ranger in supercab configuration with an alloy chip box would be a noice rig, be even noicer if it had the 3.2 enjun.
  21. Hi Joel77, can ya do a blog on this project please. Is that a 6.5 tonner ?
  22. b Lol and from what you have told me in the past Steve you are one of those employers! Nothing illegal all the same but a bit sneaky.
  23. remove the side cover (the recoil side) and you will see the fuel tank breather on the LHS of of the saw, it can be pulled out and inspected / cleaned.
  24. will do Vespasian. i've got the 14HP Greenmech GMR100 (fore runner to the CS100) so i'll compare the Haecksler to that.
