  1. No i have't done it, but i have pondered doing it to my transit by using one of the dropsides and boxing it in. Ok i would lose some chip space but not too much.
  2. cud pay the mortgage off i suppose but a Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup, Vincent Rapide or a 1983/4 YPVS 350 would be hard to ignore...
  3. Stereo Mc's 'Connected'
  4. may mate has it done to a single cab pickup. it's thick and durable and available in some different colours. Ideal to stop saws getting bumped about and sliding around as you drive along. Good for chucking logs in without dinking the floor. It Just makes sliding logs, sand or soil out a lot more difficult, so that cud be seen as a negative. I opted for a regular plastic liner with a thick rubber equine mat cut to size and thrown in on top of the liner to protect it when i chuck rings of timber in. The equine mat can simply pulled out and left at home if i don't need it. Linex looks excellent and will help to sound deaden the tub, but is not cheap.
  5. very good Mario, if a bit 'top heavy'
  6. all my 2T kit runs on Red line Racing oil, i mix it up at with regular pump petrol at about 40:1. I reckon it's very expensive oil and prolly works out at £24 per litre just for the oil alone but i'm hoping it's as good as they say it is.
  7. i modified my saw head adaptor and hook so it fits on to the inters.
  8. ya mine flex like a flacid pig. might be time to invest in a new set.
  9. John are the heavy duty ones you have longer than my 1.2m ones you used last week?
  10. Usually get up between 5 and 6, i skulk about quietly so as not to awaken her or the cat. Brew up some coffee and sit on the sofa with no lights on staring out into the darkness that is between my garden and Dartmoor which is 20 odd miles away, i marvel at the diamante like lights i see twinkling in the distance and wonder what 'they are up to'. I sit quietly and almost motionless just sipping and staring till the feckin' cat comes looking for food/attention. Bowel of porridge with some honey then it's time to either sharpen a saw or simply load the kit on the truck and we leave the yard between 7.30--8am. break time is usually 10.30 am for a max of 30 mins or alot less if we need to crack on and usually consists of pate and Nairns rough scottish oatcakes, fruit and homemade CAKE (i loike CAKE), lunchtime is around 1 or 2 pm and can be short or long depending on how much we have left to get done and usually consists of something homemade loike a winter stew or a broth of some kind. We have been known to stop for a beverage on the way home from time to time. Anyway @forestboy1978 26 year old gurlfriend you say, pics or it ain't true!
  11. savage wind, sleet and rain up here the last few days, truly miserable. i picked a good week to be ill with flu. hopefully be better weather next week as i got alot on.
  12. i decant the old premix and either tip it into my petrol chippers fuel tank or my diesel pickups fuel tank!
  13. that video shocked me, all that big big expensive kit onsite for that wee tree!
  14. i wonder how much that cost to pick out that medium cheery?!
  15. How ya Marcus, i thought you'd fallen off the planet!
  16. Thanks for the reply.
  17. better to be a bit heavier in those vital areas like chassis and axle, so here's hoping it is chunky in those areas. I doubt i'll ever buy a sub 750kg machine as i keep reading about fatigue and failures on machines that are anything from 3 months old onwards.
  18. Hello Bob, Do you think it's possible to have a brash grab / log grab fabbed up to suit one of these skip loaders and would there be enough hydraulic services to power it ? Thanks in advance, W
  19. H, What Hoss power is it?
  20. You would be doing well to use £15 worth of petrol in a small chipper like a CS100 as they are frugal and are a very small chipper.
  21. i was reading this post of Vespasian's and waiting for the punch line, as i thought it was a joke! we need pics.
  22. How ya Shires (yew remind me of that fella Burt Reynolds in Smokey and The Bandit) Ya i stihl hear from Silk stockings via messenger. Arb show and APF may happen this year but me being me it'll be a last minute decision. You be arriving in a Pontiac Trans Am this year?
  23. Silky Fox has indeed left Premier. He Is goin on the road again too. He's starting a new chapter in his life. It is still tree related though, he is very excited about it and i'm delighted for him as it's the next natural progression for him. I'll let him fill in the gaps.
  24. DIFFLOCK from Northern Ireland went quiet too. I was trying to remember his username earlier but initially couldn't till i remember he used to 'grab my attention' every time he mentioned his fit blonde daughter. So i typed 'blonde daughter' into the search facility and lo and behold up pops Difflock's post regarding the aforementioned fair maiden
