  1. Theyre too bright for some stuff though, depends what you shoot and what with! I've also used one of them "police" led torches, mounted to my scope with some modified scope mounts, it came with a "touch" switch i could tape to my stock near the barrel end of the stock, so had trigger finger free and ready
  2. Deben mini or maxi on my old .177 precharged rifles! and made a red filter from an old tizer bottle
  3. Evening all, may be looking into buying a pole pruner in the near future. Looked at the price of new ones and i think they are a little ott! and no i'm not vat registered....... 500 odd and 600 odd These are stihl ones i'm looking at btw. I'm looking into a secondhand one as it will not see much use, which would be the one to go for? You can get the old style ht/hl? 75 then the ht101 4 mix then the ht131 4 mix again..... Not keen on 4 mix, and been told they are being phased out very soon, should i go for an old reliable ht/hl 75? or would the ht101 4 mix be a bit more punchier? Cheers
  4. Harsh reduction will make it worse than it is.... Why not look into crown lifting it slightly, possibly thin it out a little or if for asthetics, pull some of the longer growth out on the areas where it sticks out as long as there are some good growth points to bring it back to
  5. Mine Three Top man!! Cheers
  6. I'm with tim on this.... soon as possible i split and store and just keep filling it up
  7. I left my old window sticker one in my old truck when it was sold, i was gutted lol as after getting more tickets, no sticker came through! This pdf version, is it good enough to be blown up so i can have one 14" square etc? even though its oblong lol
  8. do you not know who he works for... lol
  9. Evening all, Just a question about conifer roots..... There is a conifer approx 4ft away from a house, it is 15-18ft tall and has been topped before and then kept in shape. It is 12" dbh. As its close to the house it has grown on a "slight" lean to get to the light, and has put some growth on on the base of the tree nearest to the house, when growing to allow for the slight lean. Any how there is a path between the house and the tree, approx 36" wide, some of the flags have started lifting slightly and become loose, very nearby there is a downspout running down the side of the house for the top water. Customer is concerened about it possible interfering with the drains. Going to have a closer look but what is the likely hood of it interfering with the drains? Would it only affect these if allready damaged... or will pressure from roots expanding cause damage? Obvioursly the path can be altered if the conifer is to remain and not affect the drain. Depends on what the customer wants. Any help would be great. Sorry no pics.
  10. didn't get one and it just tells you where to grease lol

  12. Excellent!! I was going to bid on a dumper on ebay that had a front loader on it, but was put off by someone who has a dumper and says it wouldn't have much power to drive into a pile of logs or chip??
  13. Looks good I like tinkering aswell one day it would be nice to own a little yard instead of renting one and having a tractor
  14. what sort of security do they insist on? and is that with your pli quote?
  15. Right go it sorted, and got what i invoiced for...... Just had a phone call and needs me again with my truck and my chipper 150 timberwolf. To rent a chipper would be 100-150 a day, so asking an extra 60 quid for the day and the fuel tank filled back up can't be far out can it? Just fitted new blades so will be watching what gets put in!
