  3. I was given a Dolmar ps-400 saw the other day. It was apparently not working or so i thought..... anyhow the chap had bought a new one and given the old one to me. When i got the saw i emptied the fuel out, popped some fresh in and and had a quick look about it and got it started on the 4th pull excellent. I whipped the sprocket cover off gave it a clean in there, filled the oil res up and started the saw to check for oil delivery, which it did, i dressed the bar and put back together. All it needs is to sharpen the chain and its good to do some work. Looks quite mint if i were to give it a good clean! stickers clean etc as are plastics I've had a look and found out it to be 2.3hp and the equivilant to a stihl ms210 is this right? if it turns out to be a little belter, may treat it to a fresh chain without them safety links All in all i'm happy and love tinkering in my spare time
  4. Good afternoon, for starters please don't take my title the wrong way, i do not mean there are no good companies in the north west! What i do mean is: Are there any companies in the north west, that are good to work for, do interesting jobs and good to learn from? to work with a team that is keen to work and all aspects of the job? Did that make any sence? Currently looking for another company to sub to within 25 miles of barnoldswick, lancs would like to go north than south Cheers

Are you a name number logo and slogan person? Are you all of the above and bullet points of what you do? Do people class signwriting as a big business card on the side of the van so it needs points of what work you do etc? Struggling a bit on what to do..... got a design i made with bullet points so to speak, friend thinks just name number and logo would be better.... What do you all think? any help out there cheers chris

  24. Hi there, Just changed the bloade on my tw150 for some new ones with the intension of sending the old ones off for sharpening. On removal of the old ones, i've inspected and at the lowest point from (damage) of blade to the wear marker line is 2-3mm..... i put them up to the new blades and they have seen a lot of use and are smaller so will have been ground before, just wondering if its feasable to have these ground again or are they too close to the wear mark? cheers Chris
