  1. We tend to end up buying a new one every few months for the same reason, for the sake of £20 I don't think its worth mucking around with it'll only go again.
  2. I thought the aussies just fed it to their dogs and tourists, I don't remember seeing it much in the supermarkets or restaurants out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I couldn't make out the height in the photo's and it may not be the case here but rabbits standing on snow can confuse matters, I have only experienced squirrel higher up where the bark is thinner.
  4. I'd guess rabbits too going by the height, apparently one not so obvious way of telling the difference is one chews across the grain and the other with it, not sure which is which though.
  5. I worked with a fella who was told he could help himself to any of the belongings of a recently deceased neighbour, after having a root around he found the guys savings about £600 I think, so rather than do the honourable thing and offer it back to the fellas kids he went down the pub and spunked the lot over the weekend Scumbag in my books Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Someone I know has done something similar with a tarp and duct tape, but he's "acquired" one of those supermarket stock trolleys on wheels so he can move his logs about with ease in his limited space.
  7. Just checking really . It was neat 2/ and it was a proper dousing rather than a light spray. Thanks I'll give it a wash Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. So unless anyone else has any other views I can assume its fine and the oil won't have degraded the rope. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for doing the research for me that's just about sums it up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. That's what I was sorta planning but google led me to a rock climbing site that says oil buggers em Thinking about it though my old multiplat got a good few oil soakings and I never worried . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. One of our climbing lines has had neat 2/oil spilt on it, is it ok just to give it a wash? Don't want to chuck or shorten it particularly as its only been used a few times and its our only 50m rope
  12. No issues with the tax man then?
  13. So for it to be a company vehicle would no-one else be able to use it and for it to be available for personal use? Not sure if I'm probing into a grey area here or not, it certainly wouldn't be written into an employment contract and I don't think anyone would object to the occasional bit of personal use as long as the urine wasn't extracted.
  14. Just wondering if any employees take the work vans home regularly and if they do has anyone had issues with having to pay extra tax as its classed as a company vehicle? Thanks
  15. You don't need to zoom in there's a close up. Surely cash converters couldn't get away with selling dodgy gear when its so easily identifiable could they?
  16. Is a prussik considered bad practise now then ? Or is it just slow, old fashioned and knackering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Fair do's, you work how you work and if it works that's good, I'd prob do a smaller section and cut a couple of hand helds in that situation and chuck em while the groundie sorts the main branch, just think its easier to grab the tips and walk backwards while lowering my self.
  18. I was taught to tip rope, butt rope or cradle and always have since being caught out by a swinging butt on a poorly balanced branch. I don't want to sound like I'm digging you out but why not tie the rope off near your cutting point?
  19. Not as far as I know, it was very local to our yard and I worked there for a good few years and never heard of any come back on it. I'd imagine that after a couple of years the grindings would be rotten enough for the roots to get into.
  20. I have replanted leylandii directly into very woody grindings on the same day the previous conifers came out and they did fine, not ideal I know and they may have done better with more prep but there were no signs of Ill health for a couple of years at least. 21. There's a fella on here from Guildford with a portable mill who goes out on a day rate, not an alaskan and can't remember his name though, so I'm rubbish really Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Yup, leaf looks pretty good, though most google pics unsurprisingly seems to focus on the flower. Any idea how common it is ?
  23. Not alot to go on I know, I've forgotten my self now, but I'd never heard of it It self seeds all over the place if that helps.
  24. I thought the leaf was a bit like P padus. allot easier to say now though:biggrin:
  25. There's a fella near me selling olive logs at a tenner (I think) for a loose filled net, don't think the pizza places are snapping them up though.
