Whilst looking for another pic on my phone I found this ? Go on have a stab Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thats why "the first pic alone" came into it, that section looks browner to me than the close ups, though its not that clear. The patch of ground behind the mahonia does look a bit black too. I have seen alot of yews showing the symptoms in the close ups though and would like to know what it is.
  14. If I was looking at the first pic alone I'd say someone had a little fire behind the Mahonia.
  15. Not bad, I'd always thought it was hard to get turners to stick their hand in their pocket and just chuck it all on the log pile. Might be worth giving the fella who gives classes local to me a call.
  16. Seen quite a few like this round my way and am sure there have been a couple of threads on it already but not sure if I've seen a definitive answer. Surely someone must know, any of them tree experts out there ?
  17. How much do you get for it ?
  18. I burnt a very well seasoned one on an open fire, burnt well didn't notice any nasty smoke Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Can you not just use a bit of prussik instead? (I know you're using it as back up here)
  20. That's the one I have and its the best grand I ever spent, even the other half compliments me on my stove choosing ability.
  21. Not sure if this helps much but................. I have a Handol who are the same company now I believe and I cant fault it, not got a lot of experience with stoves but my mate who has a Firebelly looks at it very enviously every time he's over and comments how warm my house is:biggrin: It is a different model though
  22. Other side Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. t Dab of copper grease sorted my strange noise out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I have heard this but assumed it to be untrue as once the shell is damaged I thought they'd rot, surely the shell would seal it against infection. Most likely I'm wrong though.
  25. Does the kiln not sort out any p+d? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
