  1. Think I'll give the pallet idea a miss for now as I have more than enough arb waste to keep me going and cant be bothered to hunt around for pallets to tear apart. So anyone got any other tips other than a bungee? what species splits easiest in what size ?
  2. Is it a standard distance or variable from stove to stove? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Do you strip the boards and remove the nails or cut around them? Last time I dismantled a pallet it was hassle . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Think a bungee might be the way forward for me, never seem to get the right amount to pack the tyre out properly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks but still seems quite labour intensive.
  6. How do people make their kindling if they don't have a proper bit of kit? Is there a better way than a nice straight, knot-less bit of pop and a hatchet? Am I missing a trick here ?
  7. Have you found this from experience ? The only biggun I've dismantled was fine with normal spikes, even lower down (top of the ladders) I didn't have a problem. (much bigger stem than that tiddler too)
  8. Good shout, it's the juvenile foliage of cryptomeria I believe.
  9. Cotoneaster ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. How many days a year can people afford to be rained off ? I can't say it's happened recently but I can remember times when I've been drenched every day for what seemed like weeks on end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. Never really understood why I'm competent enough to use one blowing about up the top of a Lombardy but its too dangerous to use on the deck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. "Ooh that looks a little sore" whilst carrying a 020, probably the only quip that's actually made me laugh. Far far better than "I've changed my mind can you put it back"
  20. Saw one in the shop and was a bit surprised how little air it seemed to move, even with my hand directly in front of it couldn't feel any draught at all. Probably be more effective to stick a happy dog in front of the stove..
  21. Funnily enough a guy from solent was touting for business up our yard the other day with a nice pic of your truck in his brochure.

Perhaps they should make stump removal illegal, maybe there'd be a few more around then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
