  5. Does any one know the specific roads where the pruning has been a bit heavy handed ? Not sure how much of that route would be considered wild, maybe the zig zags as i assume there going down there .
  6. Just had a look at the route http://www.london2012.com/documents/venue-documents/cycling-road-race-route.pdf and i cant help but notice Ive "vandalised" loads of trees all along that route mostly because people want better views more light etc

  9. hedgecutters for as much as possible then get your pole pruners/loppers out to get the thicker stuff and tidy up any ragged cuts. Or man up, get your shorts on and your secateurs out.:001_tt2:
  10. Thanks very helpful again. You're right I do shut it down once I have it roaring for two reasons, firstly because I have read that some people say the heat goes straight up the chimney if its open all the time and secondly because the flue thermometer I bought tells me to. So even if its running at the correct temp and its about 50% shut down will it still not be burning off the exhaust properly and sooting up my flue ?
  11. But as I am also a tree surgeon burning my own wood I can't count either, so as were all in the same boat it must count ( I think )..
  12. Hi all This is my first year with a wood burner and I'm slightly surprised how much I burn, my stove is rated at 3 to 7 Kw and its heating a smallish 3 bed bungalow which is fairly well insulated . If I have the stove on all day I use about 5 wheely bins a month about 1.2 meters I think. Is this excessive ? Thanks.
  13. I discovered udder cream on here and after years of cracked dry skin on one hand it's now only slightly crustier than my good hand, Amazing stuff !!
  14. I had a mate who found a 9 bar stashed in a hedge at some grounds he was working at , went back the next week and found another. Needless to say he had a massive smile on his face:flute:

    Ramps

Thanks for the replies , but does anyone know how we'd stand legally if an accident happens while using home made ramps I've used scaffold boards alot myself and have seen them slip off the truck a few times so I thought buying the proper kit may be a good idea. Sent from my iPhone using Magic

    Ramps

Can any one recommend any ramps suitable for putting a pedestrian stumpy on the back of a tipper ? They probably need to be about 3m long and fairly robust. Thanks
