Ladders

I've used the skymasters by zarges for years and recently bought a couple of pairs of hailo's due to recommendations and price (about £100 cheaper) not had them long enough to comment on durability but I'd never buy them again as there so blinking heavy, no one ever wants to use them The height difference between the largest hailo's and the ten rung sky's isn't much but they are way heavier, they also lack a support bracket to stop the legs splaying out too far for some reason (the smaller ones have one) so can see wear at the top occurring when using as an a frame and fully extended. Ten rung sky's all day for me well worth the extra £
2. Some sort of wild plum I'd go for. Prunus spinosa or domestica perhaps..

Tree ID

Next time put the twig on a piece of white paper for a clearer pic:001_smile: It looked greener on the phone than it did on the laptop I'm creeping toward the maple vote now, better pics will def help. Best to go with the mickey taking tbh, no gain in gettin the hump with it.

6. Two half price roasting joints in the freezer for 10 ish hrs Just about guessed it right spot on texture for slicing thin Picked this up at the chilli festival last yr but was a bit too thick so watered down with a bit of white vinegar and chucked some extra chilli in and various other bits I fancied. Bout 36 hrs in fridge Stove will soon be shut right down, not sure on timings its sliced pretty thick but tomorrow mornings a good bet I reckon
7. Sorry what I meant is that managing and retaining it wouldn't be an option in his eyes, he'd basically tell the owner it's too dangerous to stay.
8. Our tree officer wouldn't let you take that down, he'd condemn it and tell the owner it has to come down.
9. They are in the air just not high enough or with enough over hang to stop the splashing.
10. Yep its the splashing that causes it but as all my stores are temporary and I keep it all for two yrs I dont worry too much, Ill just move em to a drier bit on the second yr. Wont be a problem this year if I pull my finger out and build something decent.
11. Drying wood in suburbia is a massive problem for me all these are at the front of my house and are South facing and I struggle to get below 20% even with two summers drying Gonna build a proper one this year (hopefully)

20. Think they'll scavenge just about anything, you never noticed them picking at roadkill?
21. I'd have thought the majority of it would be too knotty to go through a machine, I keep any knot free stuff for my own use but the sap is a pain on the hearth and even the hands when bringing it in
22. I'm def itching to get a batch on the go again, I've got all sorts of bits in the cupboard that need using up, thinking about chilli and coke marinade to sweeten it up a tad. Just need to get a decent rack to hang it off, need some old oven shelves maybe
