  1. Looks like a caper
  2. All the time, I even worry about the job when I'm on it and it's obvious we're gonna smash it out. Only happens on my quotes though pretty relaxed the rest of the time
  3. Yew, walnut, spalted beech, laburnum, all those big funny twisty bits that won't split (any species) and that really dark oak you get sometimes.
  4. Can you fake my chapter 8 cert pls gotta go soon, not looking forward to it tbh.
  5. At the moment it would prob cost us £50 to tip a transit load of wood, we don't sell logs and all our local free sites are not taking any.
  6. Trouble is all the local contractors are balls out if you'll excuse the expression , we can barely fit in paying jobs let alone squeeze in a freebie or do the work for a token gesture. You may be lucky with a stove owner who needs the wood but we can't even give the stuff away ourselves. Good luck with it anyway and if you find anyone local who wants free wood please point them in my direction .
  7. Trouble is that's such a poor part of esher that some of them can't even afford automatic gates on their mansions, poor souls.
  8. I used a caritool for the first time today and am amazed at what I've been missing, used to have a small bina attached to the strop when I climbed full time but the caritool is so much easier.
  9. I'm not after anything for it though I often accept beer as a goodwill gesture. Jon knows where it is and if you let me know when I can ask Mike if he can load (normally bung him a tenner or so for his efforts). I'll try not to bury it.
  10. Yeah think it took 3 and a carters to get it on, there is someone with a machine who we can get to load if he's there. There's four bits of it if it's more worth while, biggest two on show
  11. Its in Kingston SW London so bit of a trek I guess.
  12. Must be good enough for something..
  13. What's it gonna be?
  14. Ta. Funny thing is it was the dealer that advised me on the parts thing, can't remember if we were talking about saws or trimmers at the time but we ended up putting all our eggs in one basket with the saws and regret it now.
  15. Not sure if it's past it or not but don't reckon it'll last another winter. Been sat at the yard for a couple of years, took a couple of slices off and some of the light bits are a tad soft It's in Kingston 5 mins off the a3
  16. What are they like for spares? I've been impressed with em in the past especially the hedge cutters but have been advised there may be a wait for parts.
  17. I can't make it out properly on the phone but I thought the stem in the background looked good for cotoneaster.
  18. 100% failure in my experience. It was only a month old.
  19. It's fine until the chickens discover all the bugs and worms that live in it and start kicking it everywhere you don't want it.
  20. Cryptomeria japonica 'elegans' Maybe
  21. My baby was a good girl she's gone now, she only got me through my own inexperience and stupidity, I'm barred from exotic pets now she even gets the hump if I buy the odd mantis.
  22. Was going to say there was no way I'd have let my burm attempt that on the few occasions she got me, she never got as far as constriction mind and they were all feeding strikes.
  23. Were you asleep?
  24. Think the hairs are teeny and hard to spot with the naked eye. That was certainly the case at college anyway, even the lecturer struggled.
  25. Is it not just a red horse chestnut? Aesculus x carnea Sure it has got something wrong with it but doesn't look too serious to me.
