  1. Well if he's not on here he don't count. Who is he and whats he say?
  2. I was taught that ownership lies with wherever that acorn landed and started sprouting from and that shared ownership was almost non existent, if 90% of the tree is on your land it's most likely 100% yours
  3. Plum?
  4. I reckon that's a lot of brush for two guys to lower and clear through a house in a morning.
  5. Yep. Bout right for me £1500 prob+ a bit
  6. Any one got another suggestion ? Positive id of species perhaps?
  7. Its a little bit like the h+s scaremongering that goes on and tells us how easily we'll get sued for the slightest indiscretion, guy I used to work for had a scrappy old stump grinder badly maintained missing guards etc, the operator stopped using it went for lunch and the clients kid ended up burning himself on the exhaust. It went to court and got dismissed within 10 mins with the judge saying the parents were negligent letting the kid out in to what was obviously a dangerous work area, this would have been without signs, barrier tape etc.
  8. One of the orrible prunus's ? Spinosa or summit..??
  9. What did they come through the roof of? I think it was marco on here selling a safe he kept his saws etc in, might be an idea if you can't beef up the buildings security
  10. Still reckon it's an old crab. Got a better pic of the twig?
  11. One of our lot has done the van keys and a set of felcos, it's surprising how expensive the keys were to replace.
  12. Seem to remember liking these and the tongs at college, got to be worth a try I reckon. £2.99 Log Hook | Clas Ohlson Log Tongs | Clas Ohlson
  13. Thinking about it I think sports ground it's in was an old garden centre or nursery that was neglected and in ruin for years so chances are it was planted by them, the sites only been developed in the last two or three years
  14. Don't think so. Pretty sure it's untouched
  15. Nope. Esher. Don't get anything like the Brighton specimens round here.
  16. None of the hedgerow elms get much bigger than 30ft before they succumb, so why's this one doing so well, it's most likely planted so not sure of species but mostly get procera here. So resistant species? Lucky so far ? Immune? It does have some staining in one bit of dw but not the dark rings I remember from removing dying trees in the past
  17. I think that some of the cases of chalara were natural and not imported, the random infections in the east blew in.
  18. Oh and Berts bee's
  19. Some one mentioned udder cream on and Snowfire ointment on a previous thread, I've found both to be good but the snowfire's smaller so easier to keep in the truck but it does melt. I've got one hand that dries out more than the other it splits, peels and blisters when it flares up, nothing fixes it but they both help. I get em on ebay.
  20. lucidum looks most likely thanks, I actually commented to the client it it looked like a camellia leaf. anyone seen many ? first time I've noticed it.
  21. Funnily enough i thought it was vaguely camellia like.
  22. I figure this is a privet but anyone know the species?
  23. Leaf looks good, but a lot more open crown on the one I saw, will try and have a better look on PC later. Ta
