  4. More of a shrub I think, leaves quite leathery Thinking viburnum but bit of a guess..
  5. No we didn't do it. But the guy that did said it was a pain.

  7. Had the pleasure of reducing a smallish multi stemmed one several years ago, I just covered every inch of bare skin possible, thick coat 2 pairs of gloves etc. don't think we even bothered chipping it, went straight on the fire
  8. I remember you mentioned getting one, does it cane the blades ? I kinda figured the hammer ones would be more durable .
  9. On the 150's I guess it's just to keep the weight down, we're still toying with the idea of a shredder because it's such a pain getting rid of the rakings.
  10. We had it on our old transit, always happened after the same guy took the truck home and never happened again after he left, we figured someone didn't like having it near their house, almost definitely sabotaged
  11. There was a pine plantation with a stand of larch planted in a swastika shape so you may be thinking of that. I know its true as they had pictures in the sun they did.
  12. I though for a minute it might be one of these It's not though.

  15. Please do
  16. We had to do a pole rescue at college It involved a topping strop a third person, lowering rope and a wrap round a neighbouring tree, prob getting on for 20 yr ago and all part of the Nptc
  17. I wish I had the time and the energy to be more creative tbh. I also wish someone nearby wanted our wood, we struggle to give it away, probably 100-150 ton a year. How did the yew go ? Any more metal?
  18. Fair enough. It's just a mix from tree surgery. It's free though
  19. We've got this to get rid of, there's a constant supply too near Tolworth a3 Good access
  20. An old timer "traditonal" tree surgeon once said to me they used to climb up and do the topping and then shuffle out as far as they could and lop off the branches, I'm sure there's not a proper definition but this guy was in his 60's and had inherited the business from his father so his description went back a fair way.
  21. I could never claim to be an expert but I think their flat whites batter than a latte and have found Costa's far better than the other chains, allways get em to chuck an extra shot in if its too milky.
