  1. Someone round our way used to use one about 15 yrs or so ago, used to advertise it as being better due to there being no spores spread due to no chipping or some such tosh.
  2. Or going down steps loaded, smashed a slab once with the bum of it.
  3. I wasn't sure if they have to offer you a pension or have to give you a pension, I've told him I'm up for it just wasn't sure how much it will cost the company matching my contributions
  4. Yeah. Have already got one and could plough all the money into the company one and double up but don't want to stitch him up.
  5. Was in a similar situation last night myself except I was at a chilli festival with the firepit instead of a torch jobbie, pretty darn wet taking the tents down this morning too.
  6. Mm, I get the impression he's not that keen on it and wanted to see if anyone knows the financial implications for the company before I went any further with him.
  7. Yeah, I've got that one at the mo and find I still get alot of dust in and can never get it out my pocket quick enough due to the rubber.
  8. How's it holding up? Is the phone completely encased in the plastic and screen protector with the rubber case going on last or does the screen protector go on after the rubber ?
  9. Yeah but I feel privileged enough getting a co phone might be a bit cheeky holding out for the new model. Yeah I was very pleased with my first one but the second was a different design and is poo. Bought it from eBay for £10 came in a nice box looking very genuine but is falling apart now Not sure if fake, seconds or just rubbish
  10. I've been offered a company pension which I believe my employer is legally obliged to do and as I understand it any contribution I make the company has to match it . This leaves me with a dilemma in that it's a small company 6 full time employees inc the boss who happens to be a very good personal friend who I have known since long before we became tree people. So it's obviously in my best interests to pay as much as I can afford into the scheme but is this going to affect the companies profit and his slice at the end of the year. It's prob not the best thing to be employed by a friend but it has been ok so far and this is the first time I've really felt uncomfortable about our working/friend relationship.
  11. Why's that?
  12. Getting a new phone this week and was wondering what cases people are using, I've had 2 griffin's on my last one, the first one lasted nearly 2 yrs but the second fell apart rapidly but I suspect it may be snide. Did like the original but the 2nd one let alot of dust in due to changed design and they are a pain to get out your pocket. I was thinking lifeproof or otterbox but am open to suggestions if anyone uses something else. It stays in my pocket all day so needs to be a goodun. ta
  13. Thought I'd already posted this. Tool Pouch - From Landmark Trading
  14. Never had woodwalkers but am on my first pair of airstreams at the mo and can honestly say don't know what the fuss is all about, yes they're comfy but so are most modern boots and I don't think there gonna last as well as my last pair of haix.
  15. Trouble is there's always four or five parakeets on there every afternoon/evening, I thought about leaving the damaged ones on hoping they may leave the gooduns alone but fear I'm on a losing battle here, contemplating removing it and planting an ornamental, maybe give it another season see how it goes.
  16. So its the sodding parakeets fault then, the squakey little so and so's, my plums seem to get it or something similar too yet they seem to leave them alone and they just take the pears whole, way before they're ripe, think I've got one or two left right on the tips where I suppose its not stable enough. Fingers crossed they've left the Bramley alone so far and the other eater is untouched. Ta

    First aid??

We do this course First Aid at Work training course. As stated above it ticks a box but I felt a lot more confident I could deal with a situation after a four day course run by st James many years ago. One day just isn't enough imo.
  18. Pretty sure it happens on undamaged fruit as well but poss is transferred through direct contact.
  19. Oops. Thought I had
  20. I get a pretty good crop on this apple every year, trouble is by the time they're any where near ripe the mould sets in or the parakeets and squirrels have taken chunks out. I can't do a lot about the vermin but why the mould? I clear the fallen fruit and knock manky ones out most weeks and gave it a fair thin last winter thinking air circulation might help but still rubbish. Any suggestions?
  21. Ours hardly ever leaves the container whereas there's a race for the 550 every morning, our 261 is dog poo too.
  22. We've got 4 and had several breakages, 2 side handles broke where a 020 would have prob survived, one completely smashed dropped onto concrete where nothing would have survived (but the fuel tank was ok), one primer bulb fell off and one impulse hose came off without the bent AV problem. I do think the lads are a tad rough with them but never had this many Stihl problems bar the chain brake handles breaking.
  23. Ha ha. Codswallop, all the best cutters of hedges use one sided hedge cutters.
  24. Unless you're using one sided hedge cutters which in my experience are always right handed so you need to start the sides on the left and the top on the right.. U
