  1. I just kneel with the saw between my legs and rest the bar on a log, been doing it long enough that left handed feels as natural as right handed The main problem I have with it is chronic pins and needles in my legs after, where the padding on my trousers cuts off the blood at the knee.
  2. Yep. The ones with 10 rungs.
  3. I gave up caffeine for different reasons so have Ben on the fruit teas for a while but only just tried the liquorice one, it's disgustingly wierd. Think I'll stick to the apple crunch and the blood orange for now
  4. Wish I was organised enough, def fancy having a proper stab at it. Was wondering how long some of the devotees have been at it ? I know its a 2014 thing for some but would like to know how long the others have been at it
  5. Are you allowed honey ?
  6. Its in pets at home at Raynes Park, I was admiring it a couple of weeks ago.
  7. Might wanna move that blow torch soonish (unless yer stoves rubbish)
  8. Handol/Contura 51l Been more than happy with it very easy to use with only one air control. I haven't got experience with many others but my friends who have a Firebelly and a Clearview tend to look a bit envious when its going. No hot water and only wood fuel though.
  9. Maybe they're worried about the movement of disease from place to place as in chalara and just want to reassure there customers that any spores will have been killed off in the kiln.
  10. I suggested this in another thread and got positively ignored or poo pooed, Where were you when I needed you ? People are far too keen on poison, I've killed many a stump chipping off the bark with a sharp spade.
  11. Probably be too much friction.. Try tying a knot in it.
  12. I'm solving all my stihl problems by renewing with Husqvarna saws.
  13. I've got an 026 in my shed that was working one week then not the next no idea what wrong with it But I did suspect had an electrical fault as it used to cut out a bit? I know nothing about all this porting business but was wondering what could be done with it to make it a super saw and approx how much it all costs

Did find one split bit it was mid 20's so still not great . I just think that suburbia isn't great for drying wood, I need somewhere airier, my yew and robinia, similar sized unsplit logs of the same age are in the mid teens now so I need to get more picky about what I take.

Anyone burnt much of it ? I kept a load from a job because the poem said it could be burnt green so I assumed it would dry nicely (yes I know the poems poo) and two years later still at 30%. Its unsplit and I don't have the best area for drying wind wise but other stuff seems to dry ok (not beech though) It does burn ok btw I just dont want to clog the flue up.
  18. Well I've positively failed after a couple of half hearted attempts, simply not organised enough and I cant expect the other half to do a separate meal for me and the kids. Interesting about the bad breath thin above as I seem to remember that putting people off the Atkins when people said their breath smelt of poop. On the plus side that fluffy white loaf I bought yesterday was delicious.
  19. In the comments section he says they removed their video shortly after he released his. I wonder if he put a link to his video from theirs.
  20. I'd go for pop, I'm sure I've seen em colored like that, the end grain looks good to me too. Is it stinky?
  21. It's an interfascular disorder I think. Hope this helps
  22. Buds don't look very green for a syc . You sure your a real tree surgeon ?
  23. Seen it on cherries and Brucies but not sycs. Perhaps I should try and get to the tips more.. Faciation I think it's called not sure how it's spelt though

  25. I'll see how I get on but I can't see it lasting me 6 hrs, reckon I'll be snacking by 10. They thought a friend of mine was coeliac for a while and finding a decent bread substitute was something she really struggled with, I fear I may suffer the same if I really try this properly (still not committed)
