  3. I wouldn't get on my bed with my shoes on after running round the garden and I can't stand seeing the inlaws dog on there either.
  4. It would depend how urgent it was, if someone was in danger I'm sure we wouldn't think about the money. Other than that it might get pricey.

  10. This is exactly as I was taught, the tree is supposed to have natural movement and the brace just stops it going too far, if the brace is already tight the tree relies on that rather than strengthening itself.
  11. Goog fig from today
  12. Not too many farms round our way unfortunately, allotments, schools and the odd stable take most of ours but can always use more sites Just not too sure why the council want to stick their nose in when the allotment holders want the chip
  13. Pretty sure it was the council that's putting a stop to it.
  14. All our allotments are under lock and key so you can't tip off without being let in anyway, I just think the councils like making it hard for us.
  15. Just been to one of the allotments we leave chip at to find a notice on the gate stating that no more chip can be left there and any one caught leaving woodchip will be prosecuted for fly tipping Any one else heard of this or had problems?
  16. I Should have worked it out tbh. Having a thick day
  17. Sorry don't know what you mean by stacked here.
  18. Did the mulch and cardboard a couple of years ago and would have thought I would have noticed the rock then, its pretty sheltered in a suburban garden so doesn't get too windy. I thought perhaps bad planting or the stock in general may be bad and it could be doomed. Ill stake it and see how it goes, just don't want to spend time on it never for it to recover
  19. They're growing pretty well but the apple is particularly wobbly wouldn't take much to push it over .
  20. Little bump...
  21. When I bought my place I inherited some young fruit trees that I'd guess are 2-3 m in height with maybe 10cm diameter stems at ground level, I noticed today an apple and a pear that hadn't taken root at all Don't know much mor history but I guess they've been in 5 Or 6 years. So is there any hope for them ? Should I cut my losses and get them out now or is it worth giving them a couple of seasons to see what happens ?
