  2. She'd loads of what looked suspiciously like honey fungus though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I chucked about 4 or 5 inches of green chip on one of my beds for two winters running and no ill effects, everything grew like buggery Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Where do they go ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Just thought that the point of seasoning in vented bags was that you don't have to handle twice Plus if you start with 100 bags you'd only have 95 after topping up, no major drama but a bit of a fiddle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Going by my crates that were jammed full at the end of last summer I'd say 5-10% shrinkage was pretty realistic Must muck up the boys that season in vented bags a bit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. They were just bolted to the handle noting to strengthen it, they were hard to break Someone tried making a similar thing out of old wheely bins but they were too brittle and didn't have enough of a bend in it to make a decent shovel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rotovators

We'd only be looking at a baby one and the c2000 is one we've hired before which has been big enough for most of our jobs so was thinking along those lines. Trouble is just spoken to an out and out landscaper and they've got a husky one that he reckons is better, so anyone used one of them?
  9. That's them The small ones weren't big enough the big ones not flexible enough but mid size are excellent well worth the money whatever it was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rotovators

Thanks I'll have a proper look once the other half stops hogging the laptop, camon is one of the ones we hired so will start there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Used to be a fella that sold several different size ones at the trade shows, we had several but the medium sized one was excellent. He was a one man band odd inventor type but have no idea if he's still about, we saw him at saltex Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rotovators

Anyone recommend a small rotovator ? We do 5 or 6 small turfing jobs a year not normally more than 100m2 and hiring each time is quite costly. Not sure on the budget but will probably be buying new and nothing too large as access is often an issue. Thanks

  14. Similar situation, just been far too busy for the last couple of years just cant justify the time at the mo. No good on tackle I'm afraid, tackle shops a crap answer but your best bet.

  16. Maybe she's just clumsy with the mic and its been noted on the risk assessment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Can you tow it with a Transit ?
  18. Just had a google, is it as big as it looks? not sure if it would fit in Mrs Miggins drive on the back of a transit.
  19. South London. Will get a demo and see how that goes Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Chip speed and maintenance, sharpening really, are there two sets of blades? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Is that the one with circular blades rather than hammers ?
  22. Thanks Have sort of half arranged a demo already but really wanted to hear from someone that uses one on a day to day basis. I realise they're not as suited for day to day treework but we seem to create so much unchippable waste and need to find a solution, whats the speed like compared to a tw 150 if you're using it for branches ?
  23. Forgot about these, remember seeing them at saltex years ago and poo pooed them at the time, would be interested to hear how you get on with it:001_smile:
  24. Due to it being costly disposing of hedge cuttings, sweepings and general unchippable waste I wondered if any one has experience with shredders such as TW SX200PHB | Products | Timberwolf or similar and how they compare against chippers for day to day tree work. Ta:thumbup1:
  25. Has it not got a high sugar content that causes the mould ? If so has anyone tried sugar maple ?
