  2. Always just used washing powder or washing up liquid, always seems to work less successful on York or sandstone though I think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. That's what I thought too, really stood out in flower. It's the second one that's more of a puzzler, I know what the client had it down as but I'm not convinced as yet. I thought I'd see if any suggestions came up before I put the idea into people's heads Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. It'll always grow more up than out, the remaining outer crown will now rocket away with several dominant vertical leaders. if you trim it now it will look tidier and you could possibly reduce the width by 1-2 ft
  9. I wasn't suggesting it wasn't his idea more that honeys didn't give him credit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Glad to hear he's ok I always felt James had an enthusiasm that was lacking from some of the other lecturers. (Not jack of course) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Didn't honeys rename it not in his honour though ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Wow, cant believe he's only just retired quite a career he's had there, wasn't too sure about his teaching style myself but maybe he was less enthusiastic teaching at that level. Anyone know what happened to John Whitehead or James Boyd ?
  13. We've got two second hand ones made by c-scope and they're both very erratic, even after calibration they give off random signals and do not inspire confidence. (yes I have been trained) Avoid this brand would be my advice, someone's got shot of them for a reason.
  14. The problems can occur if you put hot water on a windscreen with a stonechip or crack already in it, this is how I cracked my windscreen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Well at least your pet deer's tame, never see them that calm round here.

  18. Thanks, I'll have a proper look at the platypus tomorrow though the spec does state securing to "sleeper deadmen with specific wire and grippers so I'll see if it covers that.
  19. May have a planting job coming up where they're specifying underground guying to anchor the trees, not had this before and wondered if anyone could share anything here to help me out? The largest tubs are 140l and all the trees are 14-16 with 4m height Ta

  21. Lucky they didn't melt and stick to your legs, can be nasty apparently.
  22. there is NO five year rule, it is the manufacture that decides how long they will last. some olny give items six months use and it could be worn out, others things could go on for 9 years, which is why you 'the user' needs the little card (or just the info)that comes with all your ppe, so you know what to look for when you do you pre-climb inspection Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Some one on here informed me there is no 5 yr rule can't remember who but they seemed pretty sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I wish, I've offered it on here but no ones really close enough to make it worth collecting and many tree surgeons are in the same situation, land rents too expensive to make it a viable option and we're unlikely to get permission to use chain saws in an affluent residential area
  25. Going against the grain here but we don't have the room to cut and split our arb arisings and we struggle to give the stuff away We probably give away over 100 tonnes a year sometimes delivering it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
