a good 346 or 357 is an excellent saw. do a lot of work and not worry if looked after same as any other kit.

i did as part of fmoc tickets - tractor base unit / skidder or something like that. easy and sensible course. dont know area you are in but LMR up near edinburgh orginiased mine and most of their guys travel nationally all the time so easy to sort.

i have something like that, honda engine and a pump on a trolley with wheels. hose and lance can hang on it. detergent function on lance and can suck detergent out of a barrel. its few yrs old and just goes - service honda engine as per spec and pump has some ep gear oil in it you change at a huge interval, or if a coward like me every time engine is done. thinking of selling it as i fancy a hot one, could use heat at work more now. was made by power washer services laurencekirk aberdeenshire.

we have a uniforest at work on an A93 valtra so just shy of 6 tons with wheel weights and loader. winch will stand tractor up fairly easily on some angles. pto driven on just over tickover, drag a fair old stick out but if digs in hard will stall tractor so stops scary things happening i reckon. power out would be soooo good as yeah it gets hard work dragging a long cable out, however some lucky driving and get tractor close to tree, hook on and then use tractor to spool out can work. not the greatest winch for digging in as the butt plate/skid can just slide if harder ground,too flat, old winch had serrated plate welded on like shark teeth and it dug in a lot better, not a hard modification at all. it has pull or brake, let go of pull and it auto brakes, however you dont need to release brake to wind in a touch more - two folks for assisted fell is better, easy hand signals and soo much cheaper than remotes etc. belive was from riko

lovely looking set up big J we run a valtra A93 with crane and trailer so slightly different but one thing that really settled tractor down in use was rear wheel weights. 180kg per side. its a loader tractor with large bucket and gets used well, wouldnt be without wheel weights for sure.

i know zero or less about hedge laying but have reduced some beech hedges in past. looking at that i would say woody paul is right and depending on desired finish height in year or two i would just top off with chainsaw - maybe a three visit project to give hedge good growth, top - outside - inside

i have reverse lights on my trailer, 10 x 6. had same problem when reversing in dark you can sort of see rear of tow vehicle but rear of trailer is totally blind so had a couple of attempts at solving it - attempt 1 was short lived and a fail, second is great. so on rear of tow vehicle - landy i have a pair of gutter mounted led flood lights that i wired into a switch on dash so can turn on and off at any time, ignition off or live. first attempt was as suggested a 2nd socket taped into the rear floodlight circuit but meant plugging in two cables to trailer and soon got bored of it. so i converted to 13 pin socket on rear of landy and used reverse light feed - which isnt hooked into cars reverse so i took a supply from the flood lights. i have a pair of same led flood lights mounted on trailer so when i turn on the flood light circuit both sets come on. rear of landy is bright as is trailer. added an in line fuse below where i tapped into set on car and made it quite a low fuse so reduces chance of melting stuff. can do photos over weekend of both sets if anyone wants.

work has a junkari trailer and crane - think the crane is p7 but would have to check. we made some mistakes in ordering but not massive. right now its only got 2 sets of bolsters so all timber has to be 3 metres to fit on, cut any shorter and falls through - thats worst mistake we made by far. steering drawbar is great for turns and just the extra reach, would never have one without. spool block and pipes are a chore to put on if just one person, but ok to take off. slighly bigger crane would be nice just for lift but as said if lifting big logs you must put some weight in first else it will fall over depending on when bravery runs out, hydraulic side legs but do feel the pads could be wider. runs behind a valtra a93 so just 95hp but plenty of gears to choose from. rear wheel weights on tractor help settle things down a fair bit, and if on open sites either keep front bucket on or front weights, just smoother less bounce once up to road speed

its like a scary version of those strimmer heads briogo made, the chain link ones. loved them, cleared tons of areas and as long as some respect paid to people/distance and always wearing saw boots to at least slow down bits were amazing.

we have three spools, does have slewing drawbar on trailer.

we run a junkari trailer on a A93 valtra and its plenty sufficient on a little above idle. lifts big enough sticks to take trailer onto side easy and crane to limits. all bought through alistair young engineering, depending on where in uk you are other folks may be able to show you one working.

the valtra handbrake sure is nice isnt it! what load weight does that trailer take? we run a valtra A93 hi tech and definetly could use a lil more grunt on hills but they are nice on crane, lifts really well on idle with a junkari trailer/crane

give me the rain or winter over this heat any day. ride on mowers hate it - tractor isnt loving the hills and i bloody hate the heat above about 15 degrees. can dress for the cold but once hot cant cool down, roll on winter any day
