  1. Spot on. I use to operate industrial bandsaws on night shifts, it only takes one moment to cause a life changing event. Seen it happen so many times. I have a healthy fear of saws full stop. Like you say maybe I could also help someone else by being prepared too. Thanks.
  2. It's all scary stuff, to be honest I think I might be being stupid chainsawing alone. I Always have a fully charged phone and let someone know where I will be. Got to get on with life though, can't walk around wrapped up in cotton wool. I try my best with safety, most people I know use chainsaws with no protection nothing not even a phone on them.

  4. I went on a first aid course a few years back and the guy said 'noooo don't do that, that's what we use to do', he was an ex military medic. I will stick to compression dressings, hopefully I will never need to open them.
  5. Hi sorry for my late reply, I will be doing already fallen trees. Thanks I've now bought the last two you mentioned. I wear proper gear, I just want to be safe as possible on my own. Cheers
  6. Me not being a professional at all have that assumption too from talking to farmer's, husky and stihl seem to be on the decline in quality. Although still the go to. Don't take any notice of me though.
  7. Anyway thanks for your advice I will stick to noisy saws instead. Happy New Year Everyone all the Best.
  8. Yep they look a bit daunted sometimes. (Not really I knock it off)
  9. Yep but the ducks and geese are right twonks to put it politely. They tap on my boat at 4 am with their beaks asking for bread, thus is why I was looking at electric chainsaws.??
  10. Live on a farm mooring, I only take fallen or dangerous trees it's all above board.
  11. Numpty lol good name. Plenty about.? Yer I live on a farm mooring with woods, middle of beyond no horrid people about apart from wondering Ramblers (I call some of them numptys) Now I need a name tag for my duck 'ps off stop being nosey' lol
  12. no bought that from Amazon pretty cheap. He keeps an eye on the boat while I am off playing out. Are you? Me duck was £14 delivered really brill for the price, made in Bali.
  13. In the same boat lol, yer me too it's nice and toasty in a boat with the orange glow.☺️ What you wrote is exactly what I do for the same reasons, it's nice to be outside and gathering wood i love it loads, cabin fever is boring. My new hobby. Night Ratman and thanks.
  14. Anyway one last picky for this year. Today's catch.
