  1. Maybe I could be the benchwarmer for the northerners! I'd happily buy an axe, but I've got nothing to throw it at!
  2. Haha brilliant. Mark it's obviously not me, I wasn't wearing shorts
  3. Less mud next time! Enjoyed the time I spent there. Finally home now. Good to meet a few people from here. Some of which all decided to copy me with t shirt choice
  4. On a bad night 5 hours and I can manage ok the next day. Lucky for more than 7 hours. If I get 8 or more I've slept too much and makes me want a nap in the afternoon!
  5. If you really don't want her back give them my address
  6. Im in saw boots and it's not so bad. Few wet and muddy spots but there are boards out and around so it's walk able
  7. All goes on our yard. It's fine gravel and road platings so not good to sell. Will probably stick it at the bottom of the field to do its thing till its gone!
  8. 3/5 signal here. Been struggling today though
  9. A big splitting block, or a good aim, solves that! Clas ohlson have the x25 for £50. eBay Germany it works out to £48. Rather get it close to home!
  10. Some o' that Money Fungus
  11. I can come and collect with tractor and trailer, however it would probably be late in the day when I collect it. Edit: you can always come and drop all the timber at mine, plenty room for it. And it's kind of on the way back to Wigan.
  12. The 550zx. My favorite chipper. Proper well made machine. The size of the hopper is great and the feed rollers grip anything and everything!
  13. Wear them higher on your waist. I nearly ripped mine on their second day by wearing them too low. If they are sat just that 1cm a bit higher they are a lot comfier too
  14. The 2011 stretch airs are great. No zip issues and very comfy. Hard wearing too. Got a nick in the fabric with a silly in feb, if it was hiflex I'd be able to put my arm in the hole now. It hasn't changed at all on the stretch airs. Rick try the sip progress. They seem like a good pair. They are stretch air money though!
  15. The three prong blade is good but only useful in heavy grass. You don't want to be hitting walls or stones. The jet fit will take any strimmer cord in 26cm pieces. Makes it very useful.
  16. We are very pleased with it. With thicker cord in it it is happy all day on one set of cords, 2 or 4 single pieces depending on thickness and power of machine, and will make short work of thicker plants.
  17. I had a wonder about this too!
  18. Each manufacturer has their perks. Dmm for hitch climber, pinto, other pretty shiny stuff Isc for the snap locks and I find they are about even for carabiners. Depends which colour I fancy at the time!
  19. Sorry, no worries. http://www.oregonchain.com/pro/products/oep/TrimmerHeads_JetFit.htm We got one of those. I was waiting for a comment on strummed. Only noticed after I'd posted, I meant strimmer.
  20. We got a new strummer a few weeks ago and out an Oregon jet fit head with the 6mm jagged flexible des on, it does a hell of a good job! You could probably get the head and blades for under £50. You can come and have a look at ours and try it out too if you want.
  21. Same for me, doubled over cable too so had to do twice the amount!
  22. Is st Helen's too far?
  23. Winching out a biggun isn't much different. There's just a bit more weight involved. Techniques are very similar. Sometimes they have they weight as an advantage to carry themselves through the other trees which helps.
  24. a big chunky redwood, probably a couple thousand years old, with a sucker next to it thats impressive too, had to climb up for a bit of scale. could have parked a landy in its footprint and still been able to walk around it.
