  1. Smart them rob
  2. Got a 1.5l camelbak last year. Used it on a climb and it's great. I use it for when I'm running as its got a chest strap. I usually have it sat on the back of the seat in the truck. As its out the sun it stays cool, what's in the tube warms up fast but that's gone in a mouthful! Wouldn't be without it now.
  3. Yeah it's fake, seen that a while ago. That's a big baler, doing the massive bales you see in the field around it. Plus he wasn't driving over any straw and the bale he was in was tiny and off sized for a bale. Those machines are run off pto shaft too so him jumping out wouldn't have slowed it down as he would have the revs set in the cab.
  4. Nah, chrome is for polishing!
  5. That saw in the vid Burrell posted is one hell of a machine! Seems faster than my 660! As soon as I can afford it Pete, I'll be thinking about sending you my 660 for a little tinkering!
  6. Forgot about this! I saw it then got excited that you'd added more then saw the date and my name and got a bit more excited Pull yer finger out tone
  7. Wow that's awesome. I like how he did the ring that sits on it too!
  8. yeah thats right both positions filled now cheers!
  9. ive got myself a bout of this too, inside part of my forearm and elbow, got hit on wednesday, two of us on site got it, didnt even see some of it in the long grass, had visor and glasses on as usual with strimming, think i still got hit on the chin, cant tell on that one though. left arm is worse affected, right arm itches like hell!
  10. exactly that. if you compare it to a road tow its obviously going to come up poor in some respects, but i do enjoy leaving chip in gardens sometimes and it has saved me a considerable amount of cash, paying for itself, by allowing me to take chip and logs home and not pay to dump at greenwaste tip.
  11. Im after 2 guys to help me on a job i want to get done in a day, not a hard day for 4 of us, lots of shrubs and bits to dig out and a couple of trees to fell so having a few people doing it will only make it easier on everyone. youll need PPE, boots and hat a minimum, pants not totally necessary as there isnt a massive amount of saw work, what there is i and the guy already sorted can do. I have all the tools. If you want to get out the house for a day or want experience then give me a call or PM £70 each for the day. call, text or PM 07841 128366 cheers
  12. surprisingly good at conifer, get a straight bit going in all i do it just keep hold of the last foot to keep it from clogging up, once it gets through you can hear it getting hold of it and speeding back up, will throw anything it chips to the front of my pickup all day, and will fill my pickup on less than 5l of fuel!
  13. It does seem pricey for those, but the chute is a higher angle than the Jo beau so will feed better if you out small bits in, very easy maintenance and got a cracking amount of power for its size. I've left big piles in clients gardens before now. They only had small flower beds, I must have left then nearly 2 ton!
  14. Go and take a slice before its felled
  15. Ditto that. I'd happily get paid a little less per day if it meant getting work 5 days a week, not having to find work, pay for equipment etc
  16. If its a 16l knapsack then about 300-400ml if you have some hard stuff to hit. If its just hogweed 200-300ml as the l/ha rate is lower. Blimey that stuff is expensive!
  17. Nuts and bolt with some big washers. No glue worries then
  18. It's now been filled I have been informed! Don't know by who though!
  19. Well done Ian!
  20. The talking I can handle, it's all useful stuff, the walking/running up and down hills through woods and all over the place is the more tiring bit for me!
  21. I saw this too and got info on the tender, seemed more hassle than it was probably worth. Any pics?
  22. Good balance of old and new then! How's things? Still living at the yard?
  23. christ, thrusted into new age ed? i wouldnt know about the heat, hit 28.5 where i was, but was a nice cool 17 in the tractor, air con is great!
  24. I paid that for mine. New 18hp are 4500+vat. Afaik. Which is nearly You were impressed by mine though! Im happy with mine. Got it match last year and done a considerable amount of work with it. A bigger chipper is good, it depends on your work! Small maintenance work like crown lifting and reductions its great for. Flies through the small stuff. Depending on the wood will munch through 3" happily too.
