  1. Is that what you tell women now? I'll have to do a days work on no lunch then hav a go at that. Should see me right for it!
  2. I shall be searching out that pub
  3. The worst of my back issues was when I started 2 years ago. I've built up strength in my back now and it has helped a lot. Same for my shoulders, have joint issues but building up strength has helped massively and knowing my limits. But I do agree that i could have some issues later in life. I do want to work with trees. It may just have to be office based.
  4. 15 with 6 years experience I can work all day, but using things like hedge cutters at full reach for a bit kills my arms. They aren't the lightest of things though! I also get issues with my back. Lots of lifting and carrying seems to compress my spine and gives me bad backache. Used to be really bad but an osteopath told me that the middle section of my spine doesnt bend and that's what was hurting. Couple of visits to him and it's better but still aches every now and again.
  5. I use a combination of spades mattocks farm jacks and a winch if I can anchor it. I avoid mini grinders as every time I've hired one it's been appalling.
  6. Stamina currently, trying to sort that! Shoulders keep hassling me every now and again.
  7. it does look a bit sillier than mine, i at least put a slope on the roof!
  8. this is only a small tractor, maybe 30-40 horse so would need 1.5m access gate. handy for front garden jobs. If i can bundle a few together it would save me money, but then teeth wear and other costs come into it on a day of grinding
  9. Ive just been told about these, new design by BLEC machinery, i can hire that and a tractor to run it for £100/day, which seems alright, but im not sure about the size of the wheel, the whole thing seems heavy duty enough. opinions? 10. when im next at the dealer where i get my stuff from ill pick you one up, we dont have any spare i dont think but they wont be expensive
  11. You can't get that much in. A tall box just stops chip blowing over. Having it on a crew cab means you are limited to the length of the pile because of the tailgate. It's easier to dig out a crew can compared to single cab though!
  12. Haha. I think that ones a bit bigger.
  13. Is that an average or max? Our JD 6330 will drink 24/hr under full load and a friends 7530 will 'sip' 40/hr!
  14. ART positioner, and your troubles will disappear!
  15. Windy but sunny. Will be able to catch up some tree jobs I've been delayed on. Finally!
  16. I've got a huge pile your welcome to look at and use what you need. Mixture of stuff, part composted and we are using it with no issues
  17. Thats a cool oak tony, would be cool to watch you on a job like that. Good job on the walnut Tom, I saw your bumble bee landy at jonesies but wasn't sure where you were, would have been good to meet up and talk about tony!
  18. And then got called to shift it Fellow Arbtalk Tshirt wearer!
  19. Just had 7, still tired even after doing naff all yesterday! Usually I'm ok but my US trip has thrown everything out.
  20. Will it be any good afterwards though?
  21. 'because I can!'
  22. That would come in handy when you've got a little conifer stump to drag out. Should handle it no problem!
  23. i had a a go at that, didnt quite work, just entered the ground instead!
