  1. It would probably deal with it if it went through with some more woody stuff, it's basically like chipping leaves then. But rootballs or anything with soil in it I would just chuck in a bag and in the back of the truck. These small machines are wood chippers, not shredders. There is a difference.
  2. as above, had 2 years out of my airstreams now and still bone dry, sole is pretty worn and coming away at the toe now but will probably just get it resoled, the upper is just dull with no real signs of wear
  3. I had one go completely brown and die in about 3 months. I think it started like that. Shame really as it was a big tree!
  4. I saw the pro tipper at jonesies show and I was impressed with them. Well thought out and well made
  5. Pm sent
  6. I'd take some if I was closer!
  7. Looks like plain old insulation tape to me guv
  8. But having a gob and back cut lets you have control over whats coming down. Only thing I could pick out of that job was cut accuracy on some cuts but other than that good job!
  9. I'd be inclined towards meripilus, with it at the extreme base of a beech and having many layers. To me it looks too 'bubbly' to be meripilus.
  10. Looks a bit like meripilus but it's a tricky call. What's the host?
  11. Sorted now cheers guys
  12. I'm going Pete. Will probably do there and back in a day. Jump in with me if you want
  13. Looks good that Matt! Now to find some mud! I cleaned mine today, four buckets of water and kitchen degreaser and fairly liquid to clean the inside, doesn't smell musty or old anymore. Well pleased. Just needs plenty of attention on the roof and bonnet paint.
  14. I'm still after guys. Can be from anywhere willing to travel. I can take a few guys with me if they are local to me. Accommodation will be paid for.
  15. Could it be p. fraxinea?
  16. The cats found them, and subsequently felt the effect of the electric fence, hehe.
  17. No. I'm going down to do the job. I want to find some local guys to save money on digs.
  18. I'm after a team of ground workers for a job weds, thurs, fri next week. Would be happy for three individual guys or a team with van and chipper. All felling works but will be getting info over this weekend. Need to have own saws and a good attitude for getting the job done well. MUST be CSCS card holder. Exact location and details tbc. Pm or text/call 07841228366 Cheers
  19. I used a dremel and marked my surname and postcode in the top of the pot and on the crankcase. The two bits that are hardest to remove
  20. Got 3 days next week I need a chipper for, can be trailed or tracked and as big as possible, ideally a 7.5". Don't want to drag one down with me if I can help it. Cheers
  21. Have you had any contact? Maybe just get hold of the dealer and say send you a new pair and keep the old ones when they are returned.
  22. I posted about a willow with A gallica a while back, I've found out that the client has been given some armarillotox to kill the fungus on the tree. The tree is already dying back and has a thin canopy. What effects would the chemical have on the fungus and the tree? He really wants to save this tree and calls it Veronica, so seems like he will do anything to save it.
  23. I got an eBay one for about £25. Works fine. Got nothing to compare it against but on dry wood gives low readings and fresh wood higher ones. Seems fine for me
  24. It is Couldn't get any less than 1500 but got tax in that too. Bit more than I wanted but hey ho. Original land rover floor mats. Never been lifted. Carpet is like new underneath. I'm pleased with it
