1. Looks good that Andy, the toolbox is a tidy modification. Are the rear windows Perspex? What will be the payload?
2. Fraser fir! Nice shape and great smell!
3. you dont even need that, i saw a guy on a push bike carrying a flymo! now thats keeping costs down!
4. I could organise a guy if needed.
5. I've managed to get some logs back from a site clearance job I did. Mixture of oak and ash. No rot in the oak but the beginnings of some in the ash. However there is no soft parts as far as I'm aware. Located on our yard. Would be a shame to use these for firewood! Ash is the biggest at approx 40" wide. Oak is 36" at base but tapers down to a steady 24" within the first couple of feet. Viewers welcome. Open to offers per log or as a load.
6. i agree with that a lot steve. Why not take a bit of pride in something you think is cool? You buy a mog, and go round in it with a great beaming grin because you think its cool and your proud of your purchase and the hard work it took to get it. if you start getting annoyed at little things in life, you wont enjoy it! Getting into a flap because somebody decided to break the law and get their plates done wrong is their issue, you can just chuckle as you drive past them after theyve been stopped for it.
7. I have a 20m and 45 and the 20m comes out the bag a lot more. So handy having a short rope!
8. I hope they are just as warm though!
9. A bit more expensive. Yet to get hold of a pair. But will keep you updated.
10. They just have everything in the open for easy maintenance. Nothing wring with that. Chip well too. Out of a Schleising and a tw I would go for the schleising. Every one I've used has been brilliant. Tw are just a mass produced chipper and a decent brand but I think the mass production is where some quality is lost.
11. I agree there's life in them yet! If they don't leak they still good! I'm having to retire mine soon and replace them with zermatts. Getting wet feet now from walking through wet grass! Plus the sole is coming off at the toe.
12. But if its just a new stihl part then the problem is the same. The port on the right hand side still heats up the handle and also the heat radiating from it won't help either.
13. Type in nitrile gloves on eBay. You can pick a pack of 12 up for £6.50. Avoid the red ones as they can be destroyed in a day. Black/grey or blue/black last longer. At 50p a pair they last well!
14. The one I bought does not cure this, and it cost £25 It's to do with the plastic part of the brake handle being so close to an exhaust exit port and a lot of heat gets to it allowing it to flex excessively, I managed to jam the brake over the front of the exhaust, now have a slightly melted handle. I think a piece of metal would certainly cure this and prevent the issue.
15. Give me a shout if you need a hand for data or anything. Glad to help!

17. I'm going with coconut, it's got a thick wall and hollow inside. Looks like someone broke it open and probably tipped the contents on a mate or drank them!

19. A nice man gave me some logs this morning. I'd only been waiting since August! The tractor unit on this setup has a 15m reach hiab that will lift 3T at full reach and 20t up close. Just the unit costs £237k and weighs 20t! Anybody want some oak for milling? Some good pieces here!

24. Is that the one at the school we measured as one of the last ones of the day? Looks like it's come back really well. Any further management or just monitor over time?
25. I've just agreed to a few days work a week till Christmas so that's me out. However, if it's still there then I'll be looking into it in great details To be honest I was actually a bit envious of Tom when he got the job last year. Knowing what he will be getting out of it is one of the best kick starts anyone could get in the industry.
