  1. In the green oval club now. Advice on it was appreciated cheers fellas Used some wheels and tyres that were lying around and got some plastic restorer and it looks tons better straight away. fronts just run at full lock and backs touch if I'm bouncing across a field.

That was very lucky! Nearly speared by the tree!
  3. I thought it was gross weight of 750kg max unbraked trailer on a post 97 licence. Towing anything bigger is out of your licence as its a larger gross weight
  4. Virgin Conny bashing Just over 25" at thickest point. Counted 29 rings and this tree was 50' tall.
  5. This got a bit stuck. Didn't even see the soft ground. Saw my front wheels had found it but before I could back out I sank on the spot! That's turf tyres for ya!
  6. Rope, harness, lanyard, friction cords, carabiners, friction saver.
  7. Okidoke. I'm free at the weekend to load it or a day next week
  8. Mike hire in a 40 yard skip and I can fill it with our loader. Might be the best option. Carting back and to my place is not worth it.
  9. I thought district council had an overriding authority on borough councils? Have they opposed it after the work has been granted?
  10. There is an electrified fence that gives a hell of a whack around them. Dogs found that our pretty soon. Very fine stuff. It's effective though. Boxing day sandwiches is in the left hand corner
  11. A couple, ones called Christmas dinner and another called boxing day curry
  12. We've gone into Kelly bronze turkeys. They arrived today. 6 weeks old. 50 of them to start. We just feed em and they get taken away and prepared in December. Anybody want one?
  13. What I meant was I'll donate my own money to the value of 10% to Arbtalk. The charity needs their money too!
  14. I'm currently at £70 for donations. Any help reaching to £100 is greatly appreciated. Whatever figure I reach I'll donate 10% to Arbtalk!
  15. short notice i know. just remembered to do this! Steve allowed me to post this too, cheers! This weekend i am doing an abseil down the anglican cathedral in liverpool in aid of Zoes place childrens charity, i have to raise some sponsorship for my partaking in this event. And i thought here would be a good place to suggest this. info for the event is here: Liverpool Cathedral Charity Abseil 2012 You can donate to the cause through Rob Rainford is fundraising for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice - Liverpool Any and all help for this is appreciated, you can even come and watch! Thanks for reading
  16. Near me there is manhood nursery in Latham
  17. No, that came across wrong, I've been offered the help of a mechanic to sort it to save fixing it. Selling it would be if it turned out I wasn't that bothered with it in a few months. I'd be happy getting most if not all of my money back. Ones similar to this are varying on condition but some still reaching over £1200. I'm pushed towards this as I know what's up and have had a good look, don't want to risk other stuff having bigger problems. It's not a huge amount of money to drop and with the help of people around me it could easily be less than 2k all sorted.
  18. The test is a HGV test. Just done in a different set of wheels. Assessors are strict but no more than you'd expect. Depends on their mood on the day! Find a local instructor. Mine was £35/hr and very good. Avoid the big companies, they just want your cash.
  19. We had a good dig Andy, I do agree with what you are saying. The rot is as you see there, that long patch in the recess. Does not go up the wheel arch or any further forward than what's shown. I can get free labour from a mechanic I know and parts sourced cheap. So fixing this back up will cost buttons. The guy who came down with me offered to tidy the paint up for free. He's done work on these for years much like you Andy. With bits fixed I could sell it and probably make money.
  20. Here's the boot floor. Worst bits shown. Surprisingly good nick. Rear engine oil seal needs doing along with cambelt to be sure. Seller seems adamant That someone will come and pay £2k all day for this. It's in perfectly drivable condition and is sold as seen. But he won't go below £1700. I offered £1200 considering and mentioning the stuff that needs sorting and he won't even think about it. It needs £500 spending to make it right. Paint is knackered. Lived under a lime tree for its life. Lacquer is shot.
  21. Checked all gears, smooth into each up and down. No crunching or difficulty at all.
  22. Good advice Andy and others thanks. Will have a good think and mention that this rot ain't a good sign and I have already said that it needs work doing so dropped my offer. Not something I fancy being a money pit. I think an offer of around a grand is good, they won't be happy but I'll talk them round! I'll use your tactic Andy but with less nut kicking!
  23. MOT till next march. I don't have to spend a huge amount getting fixed. We have a welder and know a good mechanic who will sort me out. Girlfriends dad does bodywork so can help with any re spraying. It's not urgent work so can do spots at a time. Chassis seemed solid. Had a quick peek around and couldn't see anything untoward. Update tomorrow!
  24. Stretch air type Cs every day for me. I'm used to them. Gets a bit warm on hot days but drink plenty and I'm fine
  25. This was bubbling and in the photos we had had a good poke around to see the extent. So where it's holed that's our fault. Wanted to check its extent of the rust. I know people who would help me fix it and save me money compared to a garage. I don't want to drop more than 1500 notes on this.
