  1. Hershey's on honey maid crackers with a toasted marshmallow. Proper s'mores. You can't buy the crackers over here. Sucks. You can in American food shops though! Walmart they are about $1.50 over here £4.99! I agree with the M&m sentiments. There is even mint and pretzel m&ms which I found to be very tasty while I was in the us. Maybe ted could send a pallet load of them over?
  2. They must think your too skinny and need a good meal!
  3. Here's ours. It's called Cat. Very inventive! It's a nutter! It likes coming on walks too.
  4. Stipe looks wrong for it to be c. Fusipes IMO.
  5. I've dreamt about starting a tophandle before now. Not dreamt about conifers though!
  6. Tricky to tell species, probably a mycena or coprinus species. Saprophytic feeding on deadwood.
  7. I'm just going to jump in here, this line here I assume is a BT line? There's no sort of conductors that I can see. Plus it's resting in a few trees.
  8. What going to be the planned outcome? A nice line of open grown trees or as a big hedge? If you want open grown I'd look up the ultimate crown sizes and plant accordingly
  9. This one seems to have plenty poke
  10. sorted cheers
  11. Got a job coming up that i need a climber and groundy for to get it done in a day. One tree to come out and needs rigging so experience required. I have the kit necessary. Please contact me for details and to discuss rates. 07841128366 Cheers
  12. I cant beleive my luck, ive just won the nigerian lottery, AGAIN!
  13. I'd be looking at pruning them to relieve sufficient weight off so that the cable bracing is then slackened off slightly. If its extra right now there's too much weight and could eventually tear out. It needs to allow the tree to flex
  14. I had a flail mower for doing a few hours work round the farm and and a couple of flails had been smashed by my dad on another job. It was vibrating and off balance so much it kept jumping off the link arms of the tractor. It took me two hours and a lot of curse words and a bit of screaming to do one 200m pass down a field. I gave up after that. It came off 5 times and was a pain to get back on!
  15. Lucky man! There's no hills that big round here so I should be fine!
  16. Meindl make some great walking boots. And that's partly why the airstreams are so good. I've had 2 years out of mine and this is what the sole is like, they are only just seeping water in now and that's only when they're wet all day. I have stuck it Back on with some super glue and they are great again. I just have almost no grip left!
  17. I'm after some split seasoned Logs or seasoned logs ready to split. However much I can get, we've got lots of logs but none will be seasoned properly for this winter. Needs to be hardwood or a slight mix. Cheers
  18. I've done jobs at 6am in town centres before with no issues. It is easier to just get in and do it. You know your allowed so why worry what the worrying public think?
  19. I have 5mof blaze spliced onto an isc triple action snap lock through a positioner swivel. Best setup I've used.
  20. I've seen a fox go up to the fence and get within a few feet. But then he slowly walked away. We've been told they can sense the electric fence and it deters them. It gives a hell of a belt so if they do get a zap they will learn quick enough. The fence is recommended by Kelly bronze for this purpose and its been good for us. Easy to move around. It's hooked up to the mains too!
  21. Getting big buggers now!
  22. I agree, K.d is usually confined in the base and without a cross section of the base it's presence cannot be suggested. The size of the root plate that's failed here I believe does not characterise K.d. But is very much common for M.g failures. I have a picture somewhere of a base of a K.d infected tree. I'll dig it out.
  23. If you gave it a few jiggawats of power then you might be able to time travel!
  24. Looks like a harmless little coprinus species or similar. Saprophytic.
  25. The only thing I would put it to is that people prefer the mid line mounting ability of the LJ. Which is handy. Owning both, I prefer the spider jack hands down
