  1. I've seen those greenmechs but wasn't sure how good they actually are. Need a good tidy up too by the looks of it! They are well within the price range. Maybe the money left over could tidy them up. What are they like to live with those old mechs?
  2. Living with your new one well enough then? Even if it does look like mickey mouse is on your bumper
  3. Isn't that the wife's job? I'm 5'7" and bang on 11 stone. BMI is about 23! Which is bordering on obese!
  4. I'm trying to gain weight! In muscle mass. Dropped half a stone of fat and now need to bulk up around a stone to be optimal!
  5. How much you want for betsy?
  6. i saw one where 3 chaps were trying to take down a small beech which was in a front garden, the tree was only about 12-15' at the tips, i drove past them and saw one guy standing on a ladder with an electric chainsaw using it one handed to knock off branches. i drove past again and hour and a half later and the top was on the ground, they had a petrol saw this time. and they were attacking the stem. one was pushing a section of it while the other with the saw was cutting at chest level. made me cringe!
  7. we are after a slightly bigger chipper which we can use for our increasing workload. my dad says 5k max, but im not sure whether anything below that price tag is even worth considering. a small 24/150 TWs is about at approximately that from masons at 5300, and i reckon thats our best option. is it worth considering any bigger chippers at a lower price?
  8. I use an ifor p7e. Weighs 400kg all in and I have 350kg left to put logs and other stuff round it
  9. I would have thought that cold surfaces would cause the opposite. Much like when you get cold hands, blood flow lessens and veins contract. When warming the area back up that could be related somehow but I don't know how
  10. They can be flat ground too. Nigel atthe stand at jonesies show told me this.
  11. No I have not done these. Sorry for any confusion. I'm trying to find the person that is doing these. Simon they are in someone's garden.
  12. Thanks. There's one been done already, haven't a clue who is doing the others or when! I did request that I could see them when they are done!
  13. My regular guy is swanning off elsewhere for the week, so I need a guy to give me a hand. I've not had work sheets through as yet but will do before next week. General site maintenance. If you have hedge cutters this would be a bonus. Bring your own PPE, boots and helmet minimum. Saw pants may not be needed but I cannot confirm this. £80/day. PM or get me on my phone 07841128366 Cheers
  14. I have the same issue, can't stand the writing being upside down!
  15. Hmm, best re paint the truck then! I'd be after some type As possibly if it's gonna be warm a lot. Gladiators or those fancy engelbert Strauss ones are appealing to me
  16. an application to do work to a tree?
  17. that looks handy!
  18. The red ones are called gladiators and are class 2 protection I think
  19. bad case of chainsaw flu
  20. 3m flail behind big tractor, should make short work of it all and if he goes slow enough it should really munch everything up. round here its probably £250-300/day with operator
  21. Just wondering if anybody is doing the carvings in Rainford on two sycamore stems, one stump has already been made into a pixie but two big ones remain.
  22. Farmers happy? I thought they had a fairly high suicide rate for the profession.
  23. Hadn't seen this. I think something like a reduction with fracture pruning should make it appear veteranised. But HC isn't as resilient as oak so wouldn't last as long. Reductions and methods for retention are in the clients wishes, but they will have to think about cost too. Why reduce it when it will have to be felled anyway?
  24. I probably could. I'd take it home and divide it up for a few meals!
  25. My d22 after blowing it's engine and being fixed can barely pull the skin off custard. ECU and injector issue I think!
