1. Thankyou very guys for all your valuable input. I've passed the document David attached to the land owner.
2. Many thanks David, judging by this they're doing enough!
3. I have a very good client (estate) that have given me over the years quite a lot of work. I survey trees as well as do the practical stuff. I was wondering whether they have shown enough 'duty of care' to their trees by getting me in to do work on any suspect stuff but not having that paperwork work of a survey. I don't want them to commission a survey if they don't need one. Basically in the eyes of the courts if the worst should happen have they done enough without the report! Cheers as always
4. The reason I didn't think Armillaria is I couldn't find any rhizomorphs. I take your point Paul.
5. Need to be a bit more accurate as a insurance company is involved. It had be recently surveyed. Not by me luckily. So you would have thought if it was Armillaria it would have been picked up on? Cheers
6. Hi Guys, I have a client who's just had an Alder blow over and flatten his car. There was no root plate/roots at all. I immediately thought Meripilus giganteus. But couldn't find the fruiting body anywhere. My question is there anything else that can cause this? Thank you. TC
7. Mark, think I know where that beast is, in a village near Ipswich? What work were you doing to it?
8.

Just read your thread about the beech tree. I am a tree surgeon/consultant and work near Scarborough often. If you need advice about the tree just drop me a message.

9. That's what I'm worried about Mark. I know it'll really get on my nerves getting stuck. But as you said a 4x4 tipper slightly lacks space. Especially with a tool box!
10. Thanks for all the reply's guys. Somehow don't think my budget can stretch to a Mog Stephen!
11. That's the what I'm thinking of, but business partners keen on a van. Need some ammunition against him. I'm concerned that a van wouldn't easily handle heavy chipper and chip! Good pic Hodge, thanks!
12. Cheers Dean! I know it's a stupid question but does a transit have a low range?
13. Dear Arbtalkers, At the moment I have a really good Hilux, with a Jensen A540 and a tripper trailer. What I am looking to do is sell the Hilux and the trailer and buy either a Defender or a tranny with a chip box. Our work is probably split 50/50 between Urban and Countryside work. Would a tranny style van cope with towing a 1.5 tonne chipper plus woodchip? Your advice would be appreciated! Tom
14. Dear Arbtalkers, How much is the current rate for delivered hardwood. A mixture of Ash, Sycamore and Beech. I have a couple of interested parties. Just want to get a fair price for everyone concerned. I would be delivering it in manageable lengths. Many thanks TC
15. We always use Orange Plant for big stump grinders. In my experience their machines have always been spot on. The customer service is also excellent. Would thoroughly recommend them. All the best Tom
