  1. So tell me Rovers90 have we sold it to you yet or do you want more:lol:
  2. Well here goes........i love my 2002 disco TD5. It sounds wonderful and if you're not towing it pulls itself along fairly well. It's not fast but then as i see things it's a 4x4!! You want speed get a sports car:lol:. Now the problems i've had/got (the car not me)!! The sunroof, front and rear, both leak. I've got an ABS sensor that needs replacing, i've got four leaks, two from the transfer box, one from the diff and one from the engine and that's just oil and one fuel leak hence at nearly 100,000 miles it's in for major work!! Oh and the fog lamp has fallen off:lol:. About £1100 to get her going leak free!! But i still love it:thumbup1:
  3. . Exactly what i done and have got a few bits now!! You'll soon get it together. Good luck.
  4.. You know it's the truth. You don't buy a Landie and expect to have no leaks do you whereas a Jap motor......... Different animal completely:001_tt2:
  5. Well trust me mine leaks:lol:. You only have to look at my drive whereas my old Hilux.......no problems as yet with leaks:thumbup:!!
  6. In answer to the original question 'what are peoples landies like' my answer would be broken and expensive:lol:. Have just taken mine into Guy Salmon in Coventry, a really good bunch mind you, and my Landie has more leaks than Waitrose, Tesco and all the food retalers put together . It's gonna cost a lot of money to fix but hopefully it should do at least the next ten years then as i won't be able to afford another car before then!! Have only got to fix the sun roofs down on it's return and hopefully all will be good again. . Still with all that said love my car ha ha ha. And the good folks at Guy Salmon who really are being good to me:thumbup:.

. Bet you ran like Linford:lol:.

    wasps

I manage to get stung a couple of times a year on average!! The last sting i had this year so far was on my foot. Went into my house to answer a call of nature and came back downstairs put my boot on a bang there you have it. Yet another sting. I find at this time of year with all of the fruit about wasps aren't too bothered with me. They'd rather be getting drunk on mother natures proceeds!!
  9. Oh yeah forgot to mention that one as well. Have all three up at the moment:lol:. Have had the car plugged into the machine and have been told that it's only the sensor playing up!! More expense but it's all part and parcel of these isn't it:thumbup:. Presume you've had the same problem then:lol:
  10. I have been told to do exactly that so once it comes back from having the seals done on the gearbox i'll be out there sticking them down:lol:. Apart from that minor problem and the gearbox leaking everywhere oh and the air bags on the suspension all going wrong within a year:001_huh: i'm loving being a landie owner ha ha ha:thumbup:.
  11. My Disco 2 is a bit like Tommers pictures inside after a bit of rain:lol:!! Really have to get the seals done on the sunroof.
  12. Now now you lot i see it different:laugh1:. Tell him to chip on in and have a look at the cctv with you and see what he has to say. Give him the chat about disappointment and i think that your 'friend' will see you in a different light as being fair but firm and then tell that you can't afford to give him any more chances and hopefully he'll realise that he's taken the rise a little bit and things will be great. I had the same problem with my mate thinking i was an idiot. He borrowed my van to do a 'tip run' and it came back with about 150 miles on the clock. I had him about it and now he can't do enough for me!! Even the odd hour here and there for free. Guilt trip:lol:
  13. I'd say at £25 a bag i'd buy all you can supply!! If it's that good you'll easily be able to make £20 a bag so for doing nothing to the wood asides from delivering you can make money!! Simples
  14. I'd always run with the fact something is going to go amiss if you're giving a fair price and they're so much cheaper. As someone has already said are they insured to do the work? Are the employees insured? Where will they be dumping the waste? Will they be taking the waste?!! I lost a regular hedge cutting job that i used to do to someone that quoted cheaper than i did it for and then completed the job charged the same as i done the job for!! The customer then phoned me to get rid of the rubbish, which i did very happily for a nice fee. The job came back to me the next time mind you. Let it go you never know they might just get you in to finish off lol.
  15. My truck and myself!!
  16. Got to agree:lol::lol:. Ha made me laugh when i saw that. I went for a 260for my first saw and paid about £460 brand new for it but to be fair it lasted me for 10 years so £46 a year. Cheap motoring:thumbup:
  17. Depends on fittings for it i'd imagine. I have two petzl vent helmets and both of them have MSA Sordins on them. Originally came with Husquvarna ear defenders but changed to Sordins and it must have been easy as i done it!!!
  18. Not me. Was too busy to go:thumbdown:. Still shouldn't complain. Just makin' hay whilst the sun shines:thumbup:

    APF pic's

Wish i could make it too. Have got far too much to do but thanks for the pictures. Kind of makes me wish i could go but needs must. Loving the mogs!!
  20. My brother and i used to split everything by hand and when you kick off first thing all's great but by lunch time the back aches and the body starts to hurt whereas with a log splitter it just keeps on going same pace all day long and since i've had mine even my brother has stopped complaining about splitting wood!!
  21. Congratulations from me too. I have twins and they really are double the fun.....but also double trouble and as for the nappies double the sh....Anyway well done it's great fun with two:thumbup:.
  22. Too much ice cold Stella i think:lol:
  23. You can only advise the customer so far at the end of the day whatever they want to do goes as far as i can see. If you don't do it there's always someone else not too far behind that will do what they want, and surely when you have a family with bills to pay morals aren't too much of an issue are they:lol:. Pride comes before a fall.
  24. HS81r. Had the 80's before and never had a problem and have had these for about 3 years and still going strong.
  25. We use a crewcab transit. With saws climbing kit and the general day to day stuff it weighs in at 2750. That's without the chubby driver (me!!). I probably tip it over the 3.5 tonne limit just getting in it:lol:
