  1. Superb shots!! So are you a vampire now?
  2. Insurance companies = winners all round!!
  3. Still only got stung about three times. More of a frightening experience than anything else
  4. I usually get stung a couple of times a year!! Hazard of the job. The worst case i ever had was when i was out with my hound. The dog ran across the top of a nest that was in the ground, and i knew nothing of it until i heard a mass of buzzing, sort of cartoon style but not as funny, so i looked round and saw a swarm of wasps flying towards me. So i decided that as i was i open countryside that i would run........and run......and run until i could run no more. When i stopped i could still hear the buzzing so i turned round and saw......nothing. I took my top off and they were all over the back of it so i threw it on the floor and started stamping on it killing as many as i could!! Anyway while i was doing this a couple came walking towards me and when our paths crossed i was saying wasps, wasps loads of wasps everywhere!! Bet they thought i was nuts as the when they first saw me i was jumping on my top in the middle of a field!! Hence i'm not that keen on wasps.
  5. This is exactly what i'd say the problem is as well. I have the same problem with bits of wood.
  6. :thumbup1:
  7. I work for DDH. Great place to work. Where you off to in Oz then?
  8. Who do you work for? I'm in the big smoke of Chaventry too!!
  9. Good luck with getting your money. I had the same problem with a guy i work with sometimes. He takes weeks to pay but i always get it. Hang on in there. On the flip side i always pay whoever works with me either on the day or at the end of the job. I think it's only fair as if someone doesn't pay me it's not my workers problem is it. They have done their job.
  10. I realise this is going to sound a little anal but some of these posts are all about being competent. If people are unsure of things like this perhaps training would be the answer. God forbid you should have an accident and try to make a claim on insurance and they found something like this on the net (that will be somewhere in the www forever now) they would blame you and for not being trained correctly. Sorry if this sounded bad but just thinking how it could affect you.

    new dog

How old is your hound? I've normally had Labs but went for a springer/cocker cross. She's six months old and she's nuts!! Boundless energy. Great fun but into everything. I presume they do calm down a bit eventually? Mine loves coming to work.

    Libya

So why did we go into Iraq and are now offering our assistance to Libya whilst Mugabe has done whatever he liked in Zimbabwe? A former colony as well? Only answer is oil and it might not be now that we see the benefits of it.
  13. I too have the same dilema as you in as much as i hate talking in front of a room of people. I'll be watching this to see what is suggested. Good luck with it as there's nothing worse than that feeling you get is there!!

    Libya

Wouldn't imagine that they would be able to replicate the fire power of the Libyan state. Also think that there seems to be a misunderstanding somewhere. We are only going in to support the Arab states. We're not going into a full blown war with Libya as this would be in nobodys interest. As for Prime ministers sleeping at night i think you'd be surprised what people will do to keep their nation happy. Look at the complaints about fuel prices even on Arbtalk and that will let you know why we went into Iraq!! It's not really about anyone else but the westerners having what they want:confused1:

    Libya

We'll have to as somebody has already mentioned we don't have the money to go any further do we? Although there is oil involved so you never know!!

    Libya

Problem being that the rebels don't have aircraft so i think that enforcing the no fly zone is levelling the playing field a little.

    Libya

I appreciate what everyone is saying here but what seems to be missing is the point that the people are creating a revolution because they aren't happy with the way their country is being run. The bonus for us is that we can assist by sending a few planes and hopefully the Arab nations will do the rest with little intervention from us!! The people are the important factor here. The problem is the main reason we are helping is undoubtedly is oil!!
  18. Now this is exactly what i was expecting. Bit disappointed when it was about bald headed tree surgeons:lol:
  19. My mother in law!! She done mine for free:001_tt2:!!
  20. Ours is a little newer but we still have the same problem = 2800 kg men and tools in van.
  21. I done mine at BTS in Ipswich. IPAF certificate
  22. I watched it in disbelief this morning on TV. Poor folks.
  23. Well done. I bought myself a little Ifor trailer last year and i felt probably as chuffed as you do!! Great feeling isn't it?
  24. If we done it here we wouldn't be able to afford the postage over to the Glades!!. We have problems with disposal of things like that over here:lol:
