  1. Love it. Couldn't agree more. You only get one so make the most of it. Who needs tidy anyway
  2. I would do if i could but three kids under five, wife at work tends to put a stop to most things. Still at least nothing goes in the recycling bin!
  3. Ha ha ha you're not wrong there. Everything sticks to you like the proverbial to a blanket from the first application so second application is a bit of a problem, but as i'm a fat lad and sweat a lot i feel i should re-apply as it all washes off!! Mainly into my eyes which makes them sting and then you can't see properly but hey ho you can't have everything can you.
  4. That's exactly how i think things should work but you know how it is when you work for an organisation they want everything in writing and i'm just the schmuck that does the job so don't get involved!! I end up having to adopt the attitude that i'm only paid from the neck down..........until they need advice!! You know what i mean!
  5. Good point. My missus just lobs everything in the recycling bin!! Job quotes, invoices, magazines the whole lot. I only need to chip off to the garage for five and the whole lot is gone!! Still at least i know where everything is and it all works well as long as i get to it before the bin men ha ha ha.
  6. We came across this problem very recently and it is still on going. The guy that writes the letters sent one to the owner of a large ash tree that is over hanging one of our properties and after initially agreeing verbally has now retracted permission (god only knows what was in the letter) and it seems as if the occupiers have now got to go to their local councillor. I always think it's such a shame as problems such as these can be solved easily but end up getting completely out of hand!! It is a pet hate of mine. Thank goodness i got that one off my chest ha ha ha. Some good ideas in this thread mind you which hopefully we'll try.
  7. I know what all you tough guys think about sun cream but i always slap on a factor 30 twice a day. Think of the future skin cancer isn't a laugh a minute!! Sorry for the serious moment but know someone that has had it.
  8. I charge £40 for a ton bag full and people just can't get enough of it so probably a bit too cheap!! Will probably put it up this year. Also sell it by the Hilux load for £110. I think it's a lot of hard work getting it all ready but come the winter it is a great money earner.
  9. Agreed both are probably internationally recognised and NPTC does last a lifetime, against five years for the IPAF, but a mate of mine wanted to chip off to the Antipodies and he was told that over there NPTC doesn't stand him in much stead whereas the IPAF would. Probably going to be proven wrong now........!
  10. Hi I done the IPAF award a couple of months ago and they only mentioned trees a couple of times. All they seemed concerned about is the safe use of the equipment. IPAF is supposedly recognised worldwide as well so if you're on the move..... Easy course anyway. Mainly in the classroom doing H&S and then a short stint on the machine. Good luck whichever you choose.
  11. Would always recommend buying new rather than Ebay. You are getting a years manufacturers warranty and are also safe in the knowledge that the saw hasn't been abused by someone else. Also helps to get a good rapport going with your local dealership.Cheaper parts! Why are they selling on Ebay? Because they're knackered!!
  12. I bought two saws on Ebay. The first a 660 arrived damaged so i filed a dispute and Ebay found in his favour as it was only a small piece of metal that protects the oil filler cap that was broken, which doesn't affect the saw but i paid a fair price for it so was just disappointed with it as it wasn't listed as damaged. Second was a newish looking 260 which was fairly cheap but had a new piston and barrel, which weren't genuine Stihl parts either, and wasn't listed as being repaired, so i contacted the seller and he had it back. So as far as I'm concerned if you want to buy, buy new if you can. If you want to sell junk......... Ebay!!
