  4. Got it from the V5. I assumed when i got it that the wings had been changed as when i done the pre-purchase check everything came back as it being a 58 which tallied with the log book. I do like it. Much better than my series 2 disco

  10. Chassis finishes in 0855. It is declared as a 1958 but it was first registered in 1988. Was originally a breakdown truck but obviously isn't now!! Had a Td5 Discovery before but that kept breaking down. This is much better:thumbup:
  11. I sometimes can't believe what we as a race (humans) do. I do have strong views on our impact on this planet but will get lynched probably for expressing them on a forum. Will keep it for the work ute!!
  12. Nice looking Series 1. I have a series 2 now. It is registered as a 1958 so if that is right it is a very early one. Basic but i love it:lol:
  13. I too am with these guys. Have a chat with them. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!! They seem to know their stuff.
  14. I have been a member for a while now but i find that i don't need to comment on every post, plus as someone has already said kids growing up, homework and just life in general keeps me busy!! Still read through the posts mind you so perhaps i am just like a closet arbtalker. Or as i don't comment i am just an arbstalker:lol:
  15. I shall remind you of this if i see you kicking around with your wife!!
  16. We used to have one when i worked on the council. It was reliable and i believe i am right i saying that the the PTO is direct drive so there is lots of power!!

  18. Thoughts are with the families. Bad times:thumbdown:
  19. You posh village folks have plenty of cash so don't give us your sob stories
  20. For my anniversary i bought my wife a coat made from 3,500 hamster skins and then i took her off to Blackpool. Couldn't get her off the big wheel for two days!!
  21. Thanks to everyone for their help but it turned out to be quite terminal for the roller motors. One was leaking really badly and was not worth repairing so a new one it was. As this was the case i decided that i might as well replace the pair. Managed to get them for just over £500!!. Never mind new motors so hopefully all will be good for a good while now:thumbup:
  22. All the best. You're very lucky mind you as it's a wonderful part of the country. I love it down there.
  23. Yeah i think petrol soaked rag and light it!! Then karma will kick in and your whole log pile will be reduced to ashes:lol:. Seems the only way with the pallet and paper really. Never heard of it before but if it works what a great idea.
  24. Don't worry about it. Think of the logs:lol:. Think i'd have to talk to them and try to make them see sense!!
  25. Thanks for your help guys. Not going to do it until next week now but am not so pessimistic about it!!
