  1. Hi Woodyjjw The hydraulic pressure relief valve on your chipper was set at factory to 150BAR, in order to check this you will need to fit a hydraulic pressure gauge and stop tap in the system in correct orientation, this can be quite awkward and messy. There is also the danger if debris enters the system while you are testing this it could make the situation worse. If the valve pressure has been altered or debris is caught in the valve seat, this may stop the feed rollers from pulling in certain size wood (as per you other arbtalk enquiry ref roller springs) I would suggest taking your machine to a Timberwolf dealer and get them to check this valve for you. Hope this helps
  2. Hi Woodyjjw Generally the springs do not require changing, the most important requirement is to keep the top roller slide plates well greased as per the machine manual service instructions, this will help stop any "hang up" of the top roller. Springs do weaken slightly during use, this is normal for any spring, but should not affect the pulling power of the rollers if the greasing regime is observed every 50 hours. If you do not have a manual for your machine, a copy can be downloaded from the web site Timberwolf UK | Introduction. If greasing does not resolve the problem Timberwolf operates a Technical Support helpline which may be able to assist further on 014490765820
  3. Hi, The symptoms you describe may well be associated with a discharged battery, faulty starter motor or a bad contact between battery/ignition/starter motor. Timberwolf Technical support may be able to offer additional information if needed. Timberwolf technical can be contacted on 01449-765820, please have your model and serial number to hand.
  4. Hello Anglia Towing equipment should be able to supply a replacement tow head for you. if they have any problems identifying the part, you could call Timberwolf's tech desk or spares line and quote the serial number of your machine they should be able to find out what tow head was fitted to your machine from factory. Technical support line; 01449 765820 Spares Line; 01449 765818 8.30am-17.00pm Hope this assists:thumbup1:
  5. Hello again, If you let me have the serial number of the machine and your email I can send you a relevant wiring diagram, this may be useful for you.
  6. Timberwolf has authorised dealers throughout Europe and beyond. The dealer for Poland is MS Plant in Lebork PL Hope this assists
  7. Hi KGmyrek Sorry to hear of your chipper problem, The Kubota engine fitted to your chipper has a fuel shut off solenoid fitted at the rear of the diesel injector pump which controls the supply of fuel to the engine. This solenoid has 2 coils fitted within it. Coil 1 (pull) electrical supply comes via the crank position of the ignition switch which allows the engine to fire up. Coil 2 (hold) electrical supply comes via the EPS1000 from terminal 17 this takes over from Coil 1 once the ignition switch is returned to the ignition on position. You may have a problem with the EPS1000 which could require changing or it may be asociated with the water temperature or oil pressure circuits. Your local Timberwolf dealer should be able to help you test this, or advise if the problem is elsewhere. you can find your nearest Timberwolf dealer by looking at the website Timberwolf UK | Introduction Hope this helps
  8. Hi Hazelnut On the rear of your fuel injector pump there is a fuel shut off solenoid fitted, this holds the fuel supply open electrically, allowing the engine to be stopped by turning the ignition key off. The solenoid is fitted with 2 coils within it, the pull coil voltage is supplied from the crank side of the ignition switch during starting, whereas the hold coil voltage is supplied through a relay which monitors oil pressure and water temperature, so if you have an engine problem it will shut down the engine for its own protection. Timberwolf has a dedicated technical support helpline that may be able to help diagnose the problem, give them a call they can be contacted on 01449-765820
  9. Hi Hedgecutter If the forward feed rollers will only work with the forward button held you probably have either a faullty forward relay, switch/s or maybe a wiring issue. Give Timberwolf's technical support a call, they will be able to give more in depth support on this for you, dont forget to have your machine model and serial number ready. Timberwolf Technical support can be reached on 01449 765820
  10. Im sure youve already checked but are the blades on the roller still sharp?
  11. Hi Apbell You are correct that the daignosis for your problem may be loss of spring tension over the years and changing them should improve the situation. Also the slide plates holding the drive roller must be kept well greased to ensure free movement up and down. Hope this helps:crazy:
  12. Hi Cimh The aluminium/grey box you have found is indeed the original No Stress unit and the green lamp should be illuminated when the ignition is switched on, it indicates power is getting to the unit. This means either you have a power in issue or the switch itself has failed. RPM for your machine at full speed should be 3400, running at 3300 will not let the rollers work, but as you have no green lamp illuminated the problem is probably elsewhere. Your best route for advise will be to call Timberwolf's Technical help desk on 01449 765820, they should be able to assist you.
  13. Genuine Timberwolf blades should be fitted at all times and are readily available through all the Timberwolf dealerships.
  14. Chipper are fast and efficient, shredder are slow and inefficient. Chippers do not like dirty of contaminate wood. Shredders are not worried. Chippers will normally chip the size of their in feed will allow. Shredders will have a larger infeed to what they can handle. Timberwolf do 2 shredders. 15. Hi At the back of all Timberwolf manuals is a belt tensioning guide for most models For your TW150DHB for instance new belts being fitted will need to be tightened sufficientlty to see a 4mm movement (deflection) when a force of 3.7-4 kgs is applied, this reading needs to be taken from mid point between the pulleys at the longest span of belt, and can only be acheived accurately with the correct guage. Without using a guage it will be less exact but if the delection is set to 4mm with a moderate force from your finger this will probably suffice, dont forget belts will stretch and this will need to be checked/adjusted after a few hours running. If you are still unsure please give Timberwolfs Technical helpline a call on 01449 765820 they will talk you through the procedure:thumbup1:
  16. If there is no drain plug fitted, the tank will have to be removed from its location and inverted to remove any debris within, alternatively you could upgrade your tank to the current specification plastic type with a drain plug. If you would like instructions on how to retro fit this please call the Technical Helpline on 01449 765820 they will be happy to discuss the options with you.
  17. If you clear and clean all the fuel delivery system (tank, pre and cartridge fuel filters) as others have suggested and the problem still persists, you may have a problem with the injector pump itself.
  18. Best advice would be to speak to your local Timberwolf dealer to find out if new parts are available for your chipper. Rotor discs rotate at high speed and fitting seconhand parts to your machine may compromise the safe operation of your chipper:thumbup1:

  20. Hi Lyn Ed Rest assured, your TW150 has a temperature switch fitted to the thermostat housing on your Kubota engine, if the engine temperature gets too hot it will indeed shut the engine down. The oil system works in a similar way, if the oil pressure is low this also will shut the engine down. Hope this helps
  21. If you contact Timberwolf's technical support helpline with your machine model and serial number they will be happy to assist with your problem. Timberwolf technical help can be reached on 01449 765820
  22. Hi Paul As the roller are driven by hydraulic pressure it is difficult to diagnose wether the problem is hydraulic or electrical from the symptoms reported. I think it will be quicker for you to rectify this problem by speaking to Timberwolf's technical helpline, they will be pleased to assist and can be contacted on 01449 765820
  23. Hi Scott The symptoms you describe are very odd. Your feed rollers have a single speed which is governed by the flow rate from the hydraulic pump. I can only think there may have been a temporary obstruction within the hydraulic system, causing a flow rate reduction. It is possible the hydraulic spool valve was not fully open or maybe the hydraulic pump belt was slipping? If this re occurs give Timberwolf's technical helpline a call on 01449 765820
  24. Hi Slasherscot Battery used on the Timberwolf 150DHB is type 063SP 490amp round post. Hope this helps
