  1. Hi Mark The starter motor should turn when the ignition switch is moved to the crank position. (providing you do not have a stop switch activated) As this is not happening I would suggest either the battery is faulty and not holding the charge you gave it or you may be a loose electrical terminal, or even the starter motor needs assistance due to its long laid up interval Give Timberwolfs technical help line a call on 01449 765820 they will be able to give more in depth checks to carry out on your chipper Hope this helps --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  3. Hi Dean I have checked the 2007 manual and the part you need is the light board bracket part number 1699FB, this can be sourced from you local Timberwolf dealer. Your local TW dealer will be Davies Implements at Trevaughan 01267 237726
  4. Hi Nottstrees I would not expect play to be present at either end of the rotor shaft. If these rotor bearings have been replaced recently as you said, I would suggest you take it back to the dealer to check over:001_cool: Regards from Timberwolf Tech
  5. Hi nottstrees Give Timberwolf's Tech help line a call on 01449 765820, they should be able to supply one for you. If you give them your machine serial number they will be able to find the correct diagram for you.
  6. Hi Treeracer Your enthusiasm to perform this blade pocket change is admirable, but to change the blade pockets is quite a major task and requires fitting, engineering and welding skills to complete successfully. This particular job would be best carried out by a Timberwolf dealer to avoid a potential catastrophic outcome. Please give Timberwolf technical helpline a call on 01449 765820 to discuss the requirements for this job. They will always be pleased to assist:thumbup1:
  7. Have you called Timberwolf's technical support helpline, they are the experts for your machine. Give them a call on 01449 765820 with your machine model and serial number details. Timberwolf will be able to give you the correct advice to rectify the problem
  8. Hi Karl Have you checked the engine is running at the correct rpm on full throttle, the no stress is programmed to cut the feed rollers in and out at specific rpm thresholds. Should the rpm be reduced slightly due to the air filter being restricted for example, the no stress will be trying to work outside given perameters. Would be worthwhile calling Timberwolf's technical helpline on 01449 765820with your model and serial number of your chipper, they may be able to give you additional advice to remedy your problem and correct rpm for your machine. Hope this helps
  9. Hello A1 The taperloks can be difficult to remove, especially if they have been in place for some time. After removing the 2 grub screws and inserting the single grub screw to the third hole, tighten this screw as much as possible then put a small extension tube on the end of your allen key and tighten again. Then get a copper mallet and strike the taperlock itself (do not hit the pulley as this is made of cast metal and may break) A sharp stun to the taperlock itself should seperate pulley! Timberwolfs technical help line will always help you with advise on your chipper and can be reached on 01449 765820 Hope this helps
  10. Hi Stumpgrinder, Didn't get any pm's from you, what was your question?
  11. Hello Dr Green. The current TW125 machines have an integral hours clock fitted within the GX630 engine by the manufacturer Honda, all the earlier models do not have this as standard. Earlier models without this facility can be fitted with a "Tiny Tach" rev counter/hour clock, this part is not stocked by Timberwolf but can be readily sourced from the Internet. They are currently advertised on the ebay shopping site. This is a battery operated device that picks its signal up from the high tension lead to the spark plug and will show you rpm of the engine when running and hours run when switched off. Hope this is useful
  12. Hello. The Battery fitted to your machine is type 063SP (450amps/round terminals). This should be available from your local battery supplier. Hope this helps
  13. Hi Dr Green Sorry to hear you have had a problem with the discharge chute on a TW machine. This is an unusual occurance as the chutes are made to enable road transport, as they are clamped 180° opposite to each other with the 2 x clamp nuts. I have attached a copy of all the components needed for the correct clamping of the tubes and would ask you to check you are in possession of all the parts. If you need any assistance please contact the TW tech help line on 01449 765820 best regards TW tech support TW190 Turbo Discharge.pdf
  14. Most of the 150's only have one bearing at the non drive end, and there is approximatley 3mm clearance at either end of the roller within the roller box. When the grease tube is fully charged this usually takes up any free play. Try contacting Timberwolfs Technical Helpline on 01449 765820 with your model and serial number they will be able to identify what roller set up was fitted as original to your chipper.
  15. The advantage the SX200 has, it that it will process, just about any green material. Root balls, conifer, even down to reeds and lily pads, with out blocking.
  16. Hi Christian If you need a copy of a manual please contact Timberwolf Technical help line. To supply you with a manual we will need the serial number of your machine and we need to confirm some other details of the machine and we can send you one elecrtonically. As for the grease points there is on on each infeed roller. Use a good quality multi purpose grease - do not use a graphite based grease. You can contact us on 01449 765820 (TW tech Support) Hope this helps TW Tech Support
  17. Hi nottstrees Any Timberwolf dealer should be able to help with this, you will need your machine model and serial number to ensure you get the correct rotor disc and shafts. Give Timberwolfs Technical support line a call and they should be able to point you to your nearest dealer, the Tech number is 01449 765820
  18. Hi Dr Green Hydraulic oil only goes as far as the drive motors within the roller box assembly. With this in mind you either have a hose gone (likely) or the hydraulic motor seals have gone (less likely) Pressure releif valve is set to 150BAR so if the hose splits the oil goes a long way. If it is the hose you will probably be able to get a replacemnet hose made up locally using yours as the pattern. Any hose supplier such as Pirtek will be able to assist. Hope this helps
  19. Hi Flashdog This could be a bearing issue, you will not find grease nipples to the rotor because the rotor bearings are sealed and do not require additional lubricant. Blade to Anvil gap should be 2.5-3.0mm. Have you considered the bearings situated within the belt tensioner roller may be making the noise? Would be worth giving Timberwolfs Technical Support a call if you decide to change the rotor bearings, they can be reached on 01449 765820, you will need the model and serial number of your machine for this service. Hope this helps
  20. Chippers are fast and efficient. But will not tolerate foreign objects, like nails or stones. Shredders are slow and inefficient but will tolerate foreign objects. The SX200 has sharp hammers. They are made from a matial that will hold its edge for a long time, and not take damage from foreign object.
  21. Hi Graham Replacement parts should be available for your chipper from any approved Timberwolf dealer, wether it is the Spline Drive or Hydraulic motor itself. If you give Timberwolf parts line a call on 01449 765818 and quote the model and serial number of your chipper they will be able to find the correct part number you require and contact details of your local Timberwolf dealer for parts sourcing. Hope this helps
  22. Hello Dr Green The Honda engine does indeed trickle charge whist its running, albeit at quite a low rate. If the machine is being used for lots of short periods the charging may be insufficient to replace the power lost from the battery during the cranking/start operation. Would be worthwhile getting the battery checked in the first instance to make sure its holding the charge OK. The charging system is integral within the honda engine but the rectifier is connected outside of the machine via a green plastic multiplug, check both parts of the multiplug are pushed fully home and all the wires within it are connected and without corrosion. If the battery checks out OK I would take the machine back to the company that fitted the engine to check it out Timberwolf have a Technical helpline on 01449 765820 if further advise is needed
  23. Timberwolf blades should be hollow ground to and angle of 40 degrees, parallel along the complete length of the blade but not beyond the wear limit line. The hollow ground aspect assists the chipping into the fan area for optimum ejection. It is acceptable to flat grind the blades to a 40 degree angle but this may reduce the chippers effectiveness and put additional stress on the rotor bearings. All good blade sharpening companies will have the facilty to hollow ground blades and Timberwolf would recomend this type of grinding to take place on our blades, thus keeping to the tested design
  24. Hi Andrew This does indeed sound like a fuel shut off soleniod related problem, Try checking the solenoid itself, the solenoid has 2 coils within it, one is to pull the valve open while cranking allowing fuel to the cylinders and facillitating start and the other is to hold the valve open during normal running. The wiring for the hold coil goes via the water temperature sender and the oil pressure switch and through a relay. So any of these could influence its operation. Try giving Timberwolf's Technical support helpline on 01449 765820 a call they can talk you through the shut off valve tests
  25. Hello Hedgecutter This does sound like fuel starvation, checking all fuel lines are clear from obstructions and changing the fuel filetrs should clear the problem. From your post it may also be helpful to check/replace the battery as this needs to supply the correct amperage to the glow plugs and starter motor at start up Replacement Battery type is 063SP (450amps)
