  1. Hi Dr Green If the rollers will feed forward when on full revs, (which is 3400rpm for your machine) and the no stress does not stop the roller feed at the correct point it sounds like the drive belts are not tight enough and slipping. What happens then is the sensor does not pick up the rev loss via its sensor quick enough. You could give Timberwolfs Technical help a call on 01449 765820, they are always happy to assist.
  2. Hi Jon, Your nearest Timberwolf dealer is Greenplant at Woking GU4 7QA tel 0845 2600119 they can supply all your service parts. Hydraulic oil to be used is grade VG32 Engine oil grade recomended by Kubota is 10W-30
  3. Hi Darren Congratulations on obtaining a Treebusta machine. the answers to your questions are as follows:- 1. A manual is available, it will provide you with much information. 2. All machines have a serial number and the plate is located on the chassis frame, there are 4 x purpose drilled holes to hold the plate into position. 3. I would suggest that you have an exhaust problem if the unit is loud. 4. Blades are constant across the range of the treebusta machines. Would recommend that you use genuine Timberwolf blades for your machine. To enable us to supply you a manual we must be provided with the serial number of the machine, this is to ensure we give you the correct information. Trust this helps but you can call us on 01449 765820 for further technical support. Best regards Technical Support
  4. When you unscrew the fixing ring on your ignition barrell you will notice two flat surfaces either side of the threads, these will locate in the control panel plate and prevent the switch from turning when the fixing ring is tightened. It may be that over the years the flats on your control panel have worn to a round. Hope this info helps, if you need further advice please give Timberwolfs technical support line a call on 01449-765820
  5. Glad the greasing information was helpful and the pulling in situation has improved. If the chips in the roller blades are small, the blades can be sharpened to a 45degree angle. Please feel free to give Timberwolf Technical Support a call if you require any further specific information, We are here to help:thumbup:
  6. Hi Riggerbear The bracket in question which the cartridge fuel filter screws on to is a Kubota part, This can be sourced from Universal Engine Power, contact telephone details are: 08442092511
  7. Hi Timb The feed rollers have free play each side to ensure free running and will always tend to favour one side or other. Generally they will travel towards the motor end. Any problems with wear against the side of the roller box will not occur if the two surfaces are kept well greased. The greasing regime is outlined in the machine manual service schedule and should be carried out at a minimum of 50 hour intervals. Timberwolf Technical will give you any service information required, you can call them on 01449 765820
  8. Hello Hedgecutter. Sorry to hear you are still encountering problems The top and bottom rollers close together to allow all thickness of logs to be pulled in, and I assume from your post that up until recently thay have been working correct. Check the slider surfaces are kept greased and all the fixings are tight, also check nothing has become loose in that area. If you cant find the problem give Timberwolf Technical a call on 01449 765820 with your machine model and serial number, they will help you find the problem or alternatively take the machine to your nearest Timberwolf dealer which can be found on the Timberwolf website. Hydraulic wood chippers / shedders and waste disposal from Timberwolf.
  9. Hi stuartc44 The problem you describe sounds quite unusual? My suggestion would be to ensure the Top feed roller slider surfaces are kept well greased as per the service schedule and the roller blades top and bottom are kept sharp on the edges. If you are sure the rollers are not stopping during this feeding problem it may be that the springs pulling the two rollers together have lost some of thier tension. Hope this information assists you, please feel free to call Timberwolf's Technical help on 01449 765820:001_smile:
  10. Hi StephF The blades fitted to your rollers are held on with M12/30 countersunk Allen screws, coated with high strength Loctite and torqued to 80lb/ft. Clear out the hexagon with a small screwdriver so the allen key will fit all the way in, try to keep the allen key square to the screw whilst turning the wrench anti-clockwise to undo. If there is enough length on the blade you can re-sharpen to an angle of 40 degrees and reuse them. If replacement is required it is always best to use Genuine replacement parts. Replacement screws from Timberwolf have the Threadlock patched on the screws, and don't forget to torque them back up to 80lb/ft. If you need further assistance please call Timberwolfs Technical helpline 01449 765820
  11. Hi Capstankid, Timberwolf do not recommend fitting of winches to any of their chippers or shredders. Any such attachments would need to be specifically designed into the machine to comply with all statutory requirements, But I'm sure if enough people want this addition, Timberwolfs design team would rise to the challenge.
  12. Hi Nottsarb We also would need identification of the Model and serial number, both for security purposes and to establish what original equipment the machine was fitted with. You have said the engine has been changed, it may be the axle has been changed also? Give Timberwolf Technical a call on 01449 765820 they will try to help you with identification Good Luck:thumbup1:
  13. Hello The symtoms you describe would certainly point to the fuel shut off solenoid interupting the fuel flow to the injector pump. This may not be the solenoid itself but the 12volt power supply to it. You may have worn contacts in the ignition switch itself or a damaged/corroded wire somewhere within the circuit from switch to solenoid. Hope this info is helpful, if you still encounter problems give Timberwolf Technical Support a call on 01449 765820:001_rolleyes:
  14. Hi MattyF Thanks for the response. I agree with your thinking and commend you for noticing the chip quality and performance of the machine. It always pays in the long run to keep a well maintained machine. regards TW Tech Support
  15. Hi MattyF With a part of the inside fin missing will cause the rotor to become out of balance and have a detrimental effect on the bearings and shafts. It sounds as if you have been operating the unit like this for a little while, so maybe some damage has already occurred. You must way up the risk imvolved, if you use the machine in this condition you will cause some damage to your bearings and shafts but if you are changing your bearings due to the 400 hour usage you may feel this is a risk worth taking , but I must advise that you have the fans set replaced prior to using the machine again. I can offer you a dealer in Hemel Hempstead - please call 0845-260-0119 Mr. David Hunter who will be pleased to offer you a competative price for the work. Hope every thing works out Compliments of the season regards TW Tech Support
  16. Hi Hedge-hogs Blade changing procedures can be found in your Timberwolf chipper manual which is supplied with the machine. A copy of the manual is attached for your information, details for blade changing can be found on page 18 TW 125 2753.pdf
  17. Hi Ben The problem you describe with the engine revs not holding in position may be attributed to more than one cause. Please give Timberwolf's technical helpline a call on 01449-765820 they will be pleased to help on this one!
  18. Hi Breton Monkey As requested a copy of the wiring diagram, It is a little basic as in the early days documentation was not as precise as today. regards TW Tech Support
  19. Hi Breton Monkey The 150 machine you seem to be on the right track with, indeed check the safety bar switch and the hydraulic valve set up. The 125 machine, I would suggest that you check the fuel filter is not partially blocked but we are not the experts to give advise on the engine itself, you can call the engine supplier we use as they have their own help line, the number is 0844 2092514 or 2092515 and the guys can advise you further, they will need the serial number of the engine so be prepared. regards TW Tech Support.
  20. Hi Buzzsurgeon The shims you refer to are the ones fitted by the factory to set the gap. These can be replaced if worn out but do not add any further shims in the bearing housing, the reason for the shims is due to the tolerances in the components and we found it necessary to fit them to maintain the gap required for efficient chipping. regards TW Tech Support.
  21. Hi Buzzsurgeon The reason we do not have shims fitted is due to human error. Experience tells us that if you fit a shim it tends to get forgotten and when you eventually replace the worn out parts the shim is forgotten and not removed which results in a smash up plus it also does not allow a face to face contact between the roller box and the anvil which is require for the stress calculations for the conponents etc.. Therefore we do not recommend the use of shims for gap reduction in the anvil area of the machine. Hope this answers your question. regards TW Tech Support.
  22. Hi Breton Monkey Entec 150 DH - If you have checked the relay and found it to be ok please double check the connections to the relay base to ensure they are secure and free from contamination. Other things to check are ALL the switches in the circuit, check for mechanical operation and continuity plus check for a loose wire / connection as all the switches are linked and if one has a loose connection it will effect the others , dont forget to check the safety bar switch as well. 125 PH machine - Would suggest you check the choke mechanism is working on the engine, also check the belt tension on the hydraulic pump, check hydraulic filter is not partially obstructed, check hydraulic oil level is ok. Hope this helps TW Tecgh Support
  23. Hi Slasherscot It could be the ignition switch has got worn internal contacts or it could be a dodgy earth connection. If yu need some assistance with checking the glow plugs I would suggest that you contact the engine supplier who has a help line. The number is 0844 2092514 / 2515 with contacts of Richard or Dave. Both are good guys who know thier stuff. Hope this helps Regards TW Tech Support
  24. Hi Buzzsurgeon There is no adjustment on the blade gap as this is a factory setting for each individual machine. The blade gap should be between 2.5 - 3.0mm If the gap is larger it could be because the anvil edge has been rounded off or the blades are beyond their usefull life. To reset the gap :- 1. check the anvil and if it has a rounded edge and is excessivly worn the anvil will need to be replaced. 2. Check that your blades are sharp and ground to the correct angle, there is a wear line on the blades to indicate the natural life of the blade and blades should be sharpened to an angle of 40° with a hollow ground edge. Trust this answers all you need to know. regards TW Tech Support.
  25. Hi Larry Glad to be of assistance. When you have sharpened your blades do not forget to check the blade gap. The gap should be 2.5 to 3mm Check the fixed anvil to ensure the edge is flat and square. If all is in order we wish you many happy chipping hoiurs regards TW Tech Support
