  1. There's a good ch260 on eBay, if I had the money I would have one. Simple but brilliant machines. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. Hi, I have sent you a Pm I have a Tp 660, it's a 6 inch chipper but has a stress control, it's own hydraulics and can run on 32hp tractor and is super light. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Thanks for the reply Paul, I would rather see the tree standing but it would be a lot like looking a one sided tree and a pollard would be a waste of timber in my eyes as there doesn't seem to be a lot of growth on the stem. It needs something done with it as there is a lot of exspensive cars parked under it. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. Sorry I forgot to put at the bottom of the post that the client won't allow any photographs taken on the property. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. A client I work for has a huge ( at least 3m across) Sweet chestnut in there property and it's fairly close to the house, the problem is there is a lot of dead in the top but the bottom seems pretty sound. There is that much dead in The top that there wouldn't be much of The tree left. The question is should I just take the dead out and leave the rest or should the full tree be removed. 7. I have about 5 tonne of monkey puzzle for sale, it's a decent size. If anyone is interested give me a message on here or a phone on 07716895087. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. Thanks for the replys, I had it going today and it's still going well we pulled some decent size timber but had to double it up. If am honest, I am thinking more 9mm steel, just for the strength and I should hopefully get 150m on. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. How do? I have a 3.5 tonne double drum winch with 10mm fiber core on one side and 8mm steel on the other. I need to replace both wires as they are just getting past there best and i am updating everything on the winch itself. My dilemma is that I need as much length as possible for skylinning(so thin mm rope) but I sometimes double the winch up to pull trees over and am worried that if I go for the smaller rope I might just snap it. What's everyone's opinions and would you use fiber or steel? Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. Big J, it got out of hand then just turned into a roasting competition for my mates. I saved the screen shots and they're hilarious. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. Rob, I am actually thinking of milling it myself but I never have anyone to sell it to. My mates a bespoke cabinet maker and I think I need to get him to make something out of it and half the costs. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1288076094615407&id=1141321295957555 That's the link Blaisly. It's weird, it just blew up. I didn't expect it to go that big it's nearly had 60k views. People just assumed that I went and cut it down for the crack when in actual fact there was a lot of meetings on the route and especially about the trees and the rare mussels. Kinder scout, will give you a pm tonight if I get time tomorrow I will give you a phone. Cheers Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. Bloody app won't let me upload photos. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  14. Hi, Some of you might of seen my post on Facebook that went viral. Well because of that post I now have another burr oak to sell but am not sure on the price. It's 95 hoppus feet and has been down for 5 years, it's solid on ether end tho. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  15. I seen one of those ford's on majors on eBay the other month. It's got 150m of cable on it now and it could probably hold a bit more but not massive amounts. It's just had a full rebuild of new clutch and chains. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
