  3. Hi Logbaron Sorry to hear that you have been experiencing some problems, have tried calling you but can only get your answer phone. If you have fitted new relays and it still does not work can you check the following are correct. The PTO drive from the unit requires checking for the correct speed, you do not state what machine you have but the 150 version needs 540 rpm and the 300 machine needs 1000 rpm, if they over rev this can cause the no stress to not work. Also the remote sensor on the trigger wheel, please ensure that this is a risla paper away from each other, the nearer the better without smashing into each other. Check the belt tension is correct : there should be no more that 3mm play in the belt when checked.. If you are still having problems please call me direct on 01449 765820 regards TW Tech support
  4. Hi Nick It may be that the bottom roller bearing has worn which is opposite end to the motor, it is a green plastic bearing which is easily replaced. If you are calling on Monday, the spares section will be able to offer you a replacement. regards TW Tech Support

  7. Hi Buzzsurgeon Several things to check 1. Belt tension on 3 drive belts ; should be 'ping' tight + / - 2mm play upor down 2, RPM of engine : should be 2800 rpm +/- 20rpm 3, If you have a remote sensor fitted : ensure sensor is fag paper away from trigger wheel or ring gear. 4, If not remote sensor check check terminal plug on alternator is tight home. If these checks do not serolve the problem please call me at TW Tech Support and we will take you through the next checks. Regards TW Tech Support

  10. B101UK In response to your question there have been no fundamental changes to the 190 rotor, the basics are still the same, however we are continually researching and have field trials underway in several areas, which until the tests are completed and approved are not open for discussion, is there a specific reason for your question ?? 11. Hi Al With an Alko axle, the first thing is to slacken off the brake adjuster at the rear of the hub, tap off centre hub cap, undo the centre hub nut, this will remove the hub, take care when removing not to dismantle the liner and spring assy, perform any service requirements inside the unit ie renewing brake liners, clean out etc then reverse assemble the unit. The hub nut should be tightened up 219 NM using a calibrated torque wrench. Inspect and check brake cables to ensure they are free and have no kinks, then adjust up the drum by the adjuster at the back hub should rotate with a very slight resistance when adjusted correctly. Test brakes by the application of hand brake. If you have any doubts or are unsure of the procedure or techniques to be used please take the unit to an authorised TW dealer for repair / adjustment. regards TW Tech Support.
  12. Hi Please remove the 3 x cap head screws from the drive into the main roller, then it is a case of breaking the natural seal that has occurred between the drive and the roller, it may come out very easily or be a swine. If you are replaceing the spline drive you can weld a bolt to the drive to aid removal of the old one, but be caref ul not to damage if you want to reuse. Hope this helps Regards TW Tech Support.
  13. Hi High scale There should be no sidewards or up and down play in the feed rollers on a 150 machine, I would suspect that either the bearing boss or plastic bush has worn and requires replacement, this could have happened if you do not grease the roller through the grease nipple on the end of the located on the roller box. Slightly confused with your term 'coughing out a bolt' Do you mean that the bolt is coming out of the spline drive end or from the roller blades. If it is from the spline drive, to retap and seal with a threadlock may cure the problem. If it does not then I advise you replace the hex roller holding the blades. Please use Loctite 243 thread lock on these threads If you mean that a blade bolt is being spat out, this is far more serious as there is a possibility of the blade coming loose with potential disasters. The thread will have to be checked to see if it is not stripped out, if it is stripped please replace the hex roller complete, as these bolts must be torqued up to the correct tension. if you have any further queries contact me regards Tech Support
  14. Hi Adam The no stress system on your machine can be replaced with newer technology, we would need to know the full serial number of your machine to enable us to programme the new parts to match the old. From the ser no we are able to trace back through the records what type of unit was originally fitted and send the correct replacement. regards Tech Support
  15. Hi Josh Sorry for the delay in response. The symptoms you describe could be worn fins, but also check that the area around the discharge tube entry is not clogged up and of course the discharge tube itself could be restricted. Depending on the style and fins that you have replacements are readily available, the easiest way is to contact your nearest approved TW dealer who should advise you on part nos & costs, if that proves difficult contact TW spares dept who will assist. If you call we will need the serial number of the unit to identify the type of fans fitted. Hope this helps Regards Tech Support
  16. Hi Adam To change the blades is very easy, it is one off / one on process, the blades should be mounted on the blade pockets but please throughly clean the mounting face of the pocket and the back face of the blade to ensure there is no debris or particles when the faces mate together. Please tighten up the bolts to a torque tension of 45lbs ft using a calibrated torque wrench. If you contact the spares dept of TW it may be possible to send you a copy of a manual. Hope this helps regards TW tech Support
  17. Hi In case you have missed it on the Timberwolf link, please PM us your details and the serial nummber of the machine and we will make contact with you, TW Tech Support
  18. Hi, Received your notification refering to this thread. Our Technical Director has been notified and will make contact with you in the morning. Could you please PM your contact details and the machine serial number. Thanks Richard Marshall.
  19. Hello hope this helps to put them back in. This view is from the back of the socket.
  20. Timberwolf will be at the show supporting Davis Implements. Hope to see some of you there.
  21. Hi Nige156 The information that has been provided on the bearings is correct. please insist on the C3 grade bearings as if you fit a lesser grade you will be replacing them again in the near future. A tip for you when you reassemble, please ensure that the shafts are not worn on the rotor and that you fit exactly the same number of shims into the nose shaft as you remove as this controls the blade gap. Blade gap should be 2.5 - 3.0mm Do not overtighten the nut on the nose shaft, it should be tightened to 65lbs ft torque. As previously advised if you have any further problems please go to the Timberwolf forum and a notification is sent direct to us which we try to answer by return. regards timberwolf Tech Support
  22. Hi Copcore From your description it seems that you have suffered a bearing failure which has affected the shafts on the rotor Depending on whether you have a pressed in nose shaft or a welded shaft assembly depends on the costs involved. If you have a pressed in shaft I would suggest that you replace the set of three bearings for the unit and also replace the bearing housings and nose shaft as this will save you the cost of a new rotor, BUT if you have a welded in nose and rear shaft assembly the bad news is that you will need a new rotor and shaft assembly plus the other parts which will increase the costs To establish what you have we need to know the serial number of the machine to enable us to look up the build notes. Tech support can be contacted on 01449 765820 or spares dept on 01449 765818 who will be able to advise you further, but we will need the serial number of the unit. Hope that this helps regards TW Tech Support
  23. Hi John It is better to use Hollow ground blades as they give a better life and chip, the flat ground blade has more material in contact with the tree and the efficiency suffers a little. Angle of grind should be 40° We offer a blade grinding service and guarantee that the blades you submit are the blades you receive back. regards TW Tech Support
  24. Hi RUPE I am sorry to have to inform you but the Bradley Hitch is not compatable with the Al-ko and will not fit. If you require us to offer a quotation for the replacement, we would be delighted to do so, or if you are near an ALko agent I am sure they would help. The tel no. for spares is 01449 765218 regards TW Tech Support
  25. Hi Tree Surgeon Essex Timberwolf are not in the position to quote and supply engine parts, it is quicker to go direct to the Honda Engine Agent for spares.
