  1. Hello Rob The simple thing to look for is to make sure the 2 bypass bullet terminals have not been connected. If they are not connected its a multi meter and wiring diagram you need to diagnose the problem If you do not have a wiring diagram give me a call on 01449 765820 and I can email a copy to you. Hope this helps
  2. Hello Reuben Sorry to hear you are having an issue with a leaking fuel tank on your Timberwolf chipper. The fuel tank is a moulded plastic construction with brass inserts which can occasionally leak due to damage, over tightening of the drain bung or if the seal between the insert and plastic is not entirely bonded. Vibration should not be the cause of this unless it is of an excessive level that would highlight a more significant issue. We can certainly get this rectified for you one way or another, if you could call me on 01449 765820. Thanks Barry Adams Technical Support
  3. Hello Swinny You are correct, once the 2 x M10 (17mm across flats) nuts are removed from the roller motor flange it will withdraw from the splines so you can make your diagnosis. Good luck
  4. Hello Hamdogg If you need any information on how to tension the belts and don't have a manual available you can download a copy from the Timberwolf website. From the homepage click on the dealer tab and a dropdown menu will expose the manual tab. The machine will have the same tensioning regime as the current TW150DHB. Hope this helps:thumbup1:
  5. Hello Graham The countersunk patched screws holding the roller blades to the hexagon roller body are torqued to 80 lb/ft Hope this helps
  6. Hello bggc Your experience highlights how critical the servicing regime and changing of bearings are for the safe use of this type of towable equipment. Timberwolf recommend original equipment from the manufacturer should be fitted on all occasions to be sure the correct specification of parts are maintained. Al-ko have their own service centres located throughout the UK usually based within established caravan and towing centres details of the locations can be found on the Al-ko website. Hope this helps all
  7. Hello Joe Your hydraulic engineer will understand the stall test on the hydraulic system, he will fit a gauge and shut off valve in the hydraulic circuit at the appropriate point to allow testing of the pressure relief valve setting. Hope this assists
  8. Hello Treeman123 The most likely cause to the problem mentioned could be debris within or a jammed pressure relief valve, If your engineer tests the system at stall the pressure the valve needs to be set to 150BAR Hope this helps
  9. Hello scale90 This is a difficult one to determine the cause without seeing the machine. As this has only started happening since you changed the anvils I would suggest the machine is taken to an authorised Timberwolf dealer for inspection, if the blades and anvil make contact this could result in an expensive repair. Details of your nearest Timberwolf dealer can be found on our website Timberwolf | wood chippers | shredders Hope this helps
  10. Hello Great North Trees The problem you describe may indicate the forward latch relay is dropping out during use. I would suggest checking all the switches as the relay latching system holds through the NC circuit of the reverse button, and also condition of all the connectors including the crimps on the female spades in the relay base. Hope this helps Good luck
  11. Hi Joe If your ch18ph has the original engine and the wiring is complete fitting a replacement no stress box will be quite simple, parts cost for this are approximately £400 + VAT and are available through any Timberwolf dealership. If you require any further information on this give Timberwolf Technical support line a call on 01449 765820 and have your machine serial number to hand. Hope this helps

  17. Hello The green circle is the correct spot for the fuel shut off solenoid, it is held on by 2 x M10 Hex set screws. If you need to check supply voltage; the Pull volts come from the crank position of the ignition switch and Hold volts come from the ECU. Hope this helps :-)
  18. Hello, Jamming sticks in switches so they wont operate properly will compromise the safety of the machine, Sound like the switches and circuitry needs checking asap. Good luck :-)
  19. Hi Bearded Munch Timberwolf fuel tank breathers currently use a 6mm nipple valve which seals any fuel from leaking from the tank but allows air to be drawn in to replace any vacuum created by fuel being used by the engine. This valve uses the same principal as vented fuel caps on other internal combustion engine applications. These valves are mass produced and the odd failure can occur, if you contact Timberwolf Technical on 01449 765820 a replacement will be sent straight away to address the problem. Hope this helps
  20. Hello The feed rollers are designed to move from side to side and as long as the 50 hour greasing regime is followed this will lubricate the contacting surfaces of roller box and roller blade edge. A 3mm shim is available from you authorised Timberwolf dealer which can be fitted between the spline drive and Hex roller to hold the roller away from the roller box. Part number for this shim is P*20 and your local dealership will be able to fit for you if required.
  21. Hello The issue you describe indicates a loss of electrical continuity on the forward latching circuit. If you have a multi meter try checking the circuits against your wiring diagram in the machine manual, also switches and relay/s. Failing this its a job for a Timberwolf dealer or good auto electrician. Hope this help
  22. The important things are to make sure all the bearings are in good condition and running free and there is no additional end or side loading applied when reassembling. If in doubt consult your nearest authorised Timberwolf dealership for advice
  23. Have you checked your purchase documents for the chipper? I'm guessing the serial number would have been recorded on your sales invoice as this is the unique number for the chipper.
  24. Hello Hamdogg Apologies for the delayed response, this enquiry may be best served by calling the Timberwolf Technical line on 01449 765820. They will need the Model and serial number of the machine but should be able to assist
  25. Hello Lancstree All springs will lose tension after repeated stretching and there are no hard and fast rules for changing them. I would suggest taking the machine to an authorised Timberwolf dealership for checking they will be the best people to assess the pulling power of your rollers for you.
