  1. I had a noise like that on my old entec chipper , it would come and go so i ignored it for a while as i convinced myself it was belts . It was bearings by the time i realised , the bearing was knackerd and had worn the flywheel shaft . That was a 1998 machine and the flywheel and shaft were one piece and not available to buy as now they now come with a two piece , the list of parts i needed was going to cost a fortune but luckily got an engeneer to repair the shaft and its still going strong , for what it costs id get the bearings done for piece of mind
  2. u need a chemical called aliclean or at least thats what its called where i buy it from , u have to dilute it properly as its an acid , i do my ali sides a couple of times a year and it looks like new afterwards , i mix it use a paint brush to put it on and rinse it off after about a minute as u cant leave it on too long

  4. hi ive recently refurbished my entec chippit 35 can anyone tell me how much hydraulic oil to put in its got the metal tank and doesnt have a fill level hope someone can help thanks chris
  5. Thanks for the quick replys , i had to unplug the connector to get the cover off and didnt plug it back in till after the picture it was connected when trying to start , the belt isnt broken its a differnt belt that goes behind . im thinking there is something missing off that piece of metal possibly some sort of insulator . hopefully someone has a similar machine to compare to .
  6. hi i hope someone can help . i recently brought a rayco rg 25 grinder wich is a non runner for an unknown reason. it had no power when the key was turned so i put the jump leads on and it turns over but doesnt fire while it was turning over i noticed sparks were coming from the drive belt cover. a small piece of metal pokes through the cover which is attached to what i think is an electronic clutch.when the engine turns over the metal touches the guard and sparks. ive attached some pictures to see if anyone can see a problem as i dont know what it should look like
  7. on the older machines the shaft is part of the flywheel that was the problem i had when my bearings went and damaged the shaft i was quoted well over a 1000 plus vat i took the flywheel to an enginering company that built up the shaft and machined it cost me about 80 quid he also said blade bolt pockets could be replaced hope this helps ill see if i can find his card but this was in the midlands
  8. hi i need advice i hav a 1998 entec diesel chipper that sometimes makes a squeaking / screeching noise [ definitley not the belts ] this has happened the last 3 times of use its not a constant noise and usualy only happens after chipping when its turned down to tickover but sometimes gives the odd squeak at full revs . do you think this could be the bearings as i do ? i also cant find any grease nipples . i am quite confident i could change the bearings i am just wondering about gaps between blades and anvils when putting back together . any advice would be appreciated
