  1. yeah i was thinking about what you had said about the pump while i was tryig to get it running properly , it seems to be getting starved of fuel so thats alot of the reason i sent it up to the fitter to do and asked him to take the fuel pump appart and give it a good clean just to make sure . im pretty certain its fuel starvation because when i took the main fuel filter off it was not full to the brim and pooring all over my hands like they normally are , but ance fitted with a new filter full of diesel she started like a goodun !!! sad;y i just int got time to be doing the work my self . Oh and to top it all off my subaru went it for a SMALL problem to be sorted which for some reason turnes into a BIG problem and has ended up costing me £756.97 !!!! oh the joy's !!!!!!! and they tell me that mogs can be expensive to run !!
  2. and you really do not want on of the new defenders according to the fitter at my local western powerd yard he has taken more of there landrovers back to the local landrover dealer than he can remember !! some are on there third and fourth trips back !!!! and at one point they had more of them off the road being fixed than they had on the road !!!!!!!!!!

  4. in that case im still stuck in the olden days lol
  5. i hve been using the woody product today and it has been really really good , the second attachment strap really makes an ultra secute fit ti the tree but i still would really like a GCRS , i would love to come out on a site and see one in action but im right down in cornwall sadly , also has anyone ever looked the the riging dvd's ?
  6. thanks gibbon mate i had a look at the link to honeys and it looks like an amazing bit of kit

  8. i carried on using it but its still not got its power back and its got really hard to start , normally once i have got it started it misses a bit but eventually runs like it should but is still a bit guttless so yeserday i sent it up the the agricultual fitter that i use and he will have a look tomorrow but im still at a loss as to what it could be , i have changed the fuel filter and cleaned out the fuel lines !
  9. as it says on the tin , has anyone got any pictures of the GCRS in action please , im really interested in getting one but do not know much about them so any pics and advice would be greatly appreciated thanks guys !!
  10. hmmmm now selling the mewp and getting a new lowering device does sound like a plan to me !!! as for the strop your bang on bob , i wish i had bought a rope to go with it but sadly as you can probably see im still climbing on marlow rope !!!
  11. the limb ripped a bit as i was wanting to get the limb to swing round and away from the head stones i was working over , as for the saw strop im really not sure whats up in that picture but the strop is not tied together nor has it been cut lol , as for the grcs i can only add it to my wish list , the rest of the tree will be comming down tomorrow after i have finnished the job that we were called away too lol
  12. wait for the new version of the skylotec to come out !! there are two new versions being released verry soon , one it similar the the current skylotec but it has quick release leg loops and a designated carry device for a first aid kit , and i believe there are several other changes but i cant remember what they are lol ! the second harness is a light weight version of the harness which also looks to be a really really good harness . not sure but maybe justin might have some info that he can post for us all

  22. why not go the whole hog and come down this way and have a look at my tw190 mate
  23. whay what have you heard about them ??, to be honest every chipper has its bad points, what you have to ask your self is how much chipper do you want for your money ? also which chipper is easyest to get parts for ? the less down time the better
  24. i had Yel.com call me again last week with the same old sales patter trying to get me to sign up but , so i asked them to put all of their figures in wrighting also outlining there promise of an increase of over %20 in work , a week later i have not heard from them since !!!! personally i really can not see any point in advertising with them , i was chatting to a media consultant several weeks ago and he pointed me in the wright direction as far as advertising goes , hence why i will not be bothering with big adverts in phone directories , however i will now concentrait on other forms of advertising such as local papers , also i have worked out that the ammount of money i will save will more than cover buying an advertising trailer lol , has anyone thought of using estate agents boards ??
  25. the questions you really need to be asking the dealer is - how much waranty, what work have they done to the machine etc etc . i would want a decent waranty and an honest appraisal of the chipper that your looking to buy . also if your not sure what your loking at why not take someone along to have a look and demmo the machine before you buy ?
